Disney World Employee Arrested for Stealing Almost $50,000

A Walt Disney World employee was arrested Monday after stealing nearly $50,000 in 2016, according to the  Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

Between April 2016 and December 2016, Jamaica Hall, 31, of Kissimmee, issued fraudulent credit card refunds to hotel guests, which he transferred to his checking account, investigators said.

31-year-old Jamaica Hall of Kissimmee, Florida, was arrested Monday after he issued fraudulent credit card refunds to hotel guests and transferred the money to his checking account.

The theft took place between April 2016 and December 2016 and totaled $48,531 in refunds, according to an OCSO representative.

Investigators revealed no hotel guests were impacted by Hall’s plot. During that time, Hall worked as a front desk concierge host at multiple Disney World hotels. When he was confronted about the stolen money, Hall admitted what he did to Disney officials and was fired.

He was booked into the Orange County Jail on charges of grand theft. He is being held in lieu of a $10,000 bail.
