Breaking: Disney World Closure Extended into April

As we reported before, Walt Disney World is supposed to re-open on April 1st. We now have that news that the closure may extend to April 9th, 2020.

The Mayor of Orlando, Buddy Dyer, and the Orange County Mayor put out a Stay at Home Order tonight. This means that all residents need to stay at home, and all non-essential businesses will be closed starting Thursday March 26th through April 9th.

There hasn’t been any official word from Disney yet, but when there is we will update you on the details.

Make sure you contact Enchanted Kingdom Vacations with Kimberly to plan your next trip when Disney re-opens.

  • New Disney Dining Plan Option Coming Soon to Disney World

New Disney Dining Plan Option Coming Soon to Disney World

A Disney Dining Plan is a convenient way to have the expense of your meals already paid for when you go on vacation. Now, you’ll have a new option to choose from when Disney Dining Plus is released February 27th!

You still have the same three options as before, but there will now be a fourth option called the “Plus” plan that should really add some flexibility to your planning.

Take a look below at all the details:

    Current Dining Plan options:

    • Quick-Service Dining Plan:
      • 2 quick service credits and 2 snack credits per night
      • 1 re-fillable mug per stay
      • ($55 per adult, $26 per child, per night)
    • Disney Dining Plan:
      • 1 table service credit, 1 quick service credit, and 2 snack credits per night
      • 1 re-fillable mug per stay
      • ($78 per adult, $30 per child, per night)
    • Deluxe Dining Plan:
      • 3 table service credit and 2 snack credits per night
      • 1 re-fillable mug per stay
      • ($119 per adult, $47.50 per child, per night)

    New “Plus” Plan Details:

Like all the other plans, you’ll get 2 snack credits per night of your stay and 1 re-fillable resort mug per stay.

The PLUS part comes in with the meal credits!
You will get: 2 dining credits per night that can be used in any combination of either Table Service, Quick Service, or Character Dining.

This new plan will likely fit in between the Disney Dining Plan and the Deluxe Dining Plan. I’m going to take a guess and say that the price points will run about $98 for adults and $39 for children for this new option.

  • Perfectly Sinister Disney Gifts for your Villainous Valentine

Perfectly Sinister Disney Gifts for your Villainous Valentine

I don’t know about you, but I just love a good Villain. So, in honor of that, we’ve gathered up a collection of Disney gifts perfect for your Villainous Valentine.

Zales has an entire collection of fine jewelry dedicated to the villain in your life. There are rings, earrings, and a necklace to add a little sparkle to her bad side! Prices range for $149.99 to $3499.99. You can see the whole collection here.

Whether it’s a party where a baby need to be cursed, or a poisonous apple that needs to be delivered, we all know that Villains like to be on time! Citizen, that iconic watch company, has two gorgeously subtly but darkly sinister timepieces to choose from. Both watches are inscribed on the case back. Maleficent says, “Mistress of all Evil,” and Ursala says, “Poor Unfortunate Souls.” You’ll find these and more Disney watches here.

Does your true love need a way to carry all their spell ingredients on their next adventure through the haunted forest? In that case, Hot Topic has you covered with these two Loungefly bags. The Maleficent satchel is debossed with a scene of Prince Philip battling Maleficent in her dragon form. The mini backpack is made of a soft red velvet and the gold heart on the front is engraved with “Evil Queen.”

If you and your Valentine are more into experiences, then I would highly recommend attending Disney Villains After Hours at Magic Kingdom Park. This separate ticketed event takes place on select nights February 7th – July 10th, 2020. You’ll have the Magic Kingdom as your playground for an additional 3 hours after the park closes to guests. Enjoy frightfully fun entertainment, photo ops, and park entry as early as 7:00 PM. Ice cream novelties, popcorn and select bottled beverages are all included with your event admission. There’s also an After Hours exclusive parade called the Villains’ Cursed Caravan which happens twice a night where Maleficent – the fire-breathing dragon – slinks through the park.

If you’re interested in booking the Villains After Hours Event at Magic Kingdom park contact Kimberly with Enchanted Kingdom Vacations. Check her out here. And Happy Valentine’s Day my nefarious friends!

  • New 2020 Epcot International Festival of the Arts Commemorative Merchandise

New 2020 Epcot International Festival of the Arts Commemorative Merchandise

The 4th Annual Epcot International Festival of the Arts starts today, and we have a first look at all the new merchandise that will be available.

I hope you like purple, because Figment has started his own painting company; Figment Color Co., and is spreading his favorite color all over Epcot!
Let’s start with Passholder exclusive items.

This year’s Passholder merchandise all feature Figment sitting on top of a paint can with a gleeful look on his face. There’s a uni-sex t-shirt, an insulated metal Tervis mug, and a Limited Edition pin with only 4000 available. The t-shirt comes packaged in a cute souvenir paint can.
Next, let’s look at more shirts, including those super popular Spirit Jerseys!

Figment wants guests of all ages to enjoy the festival, so on the right you’ll see this years youth shirt! In the middle is a brand new Spirit Jersey where you can catch Figment in the act of paining the perfect shade of yellow. Lastly, you’ll see the uni-sex t-shirt option this year.
Now, how about more details on the other items you can see in this picture?!

There’s an adorable purse shaped like a paint can that’s covered in silver glitter and stripes of vintage Epcot colors.
And let’s talk about those Minnie Ears! They’re decorated with a paint roller and have reversible sequins that can be worn in stripes of color or solid purple. So many ways to style these!

There are several more Limited Release pins, including these two. The first pin has 5 Mickey outlines in varying shades of purple and yellow, and a dangling placard with the Festival information. The second pin looks like Figment is giving the Imagination Building a new paint job!

It wouldn’t be a Festival if Disney didn’t release a Limited Edition Magicband and they did not disappoint! This year’s band is Limited to only 2000 due to the Festival only running about 5 weeks. My favorite item this year is the Alex and Ani bracelet. It has 2 charms – a messy Figment dripping with yellow paint and a tiny paintbrush.

Figment’s Brush with the Masters Scavenger Hunt has been re-vamped this year! The map is now shaped like an artists palette with the stickers attached to the back. To play along purchase a map and then find Figment hiding inside famous works of art at each World Showcase pavilion. After you complete the map, bring it back to claim your prize. This year there are four puzzles to choose from, each one coming in it’s own mini paint can.

The Color Co.’s slogan is, ‘Find the Perfect Pigment with your Pal Figment’ and you can definitely do that with this Tervis, which is labeled with 5 shades of purple.
The coffee cup features a silicon lid shaped like dripping paint to keep your coffee nice and hot!

Finally, let’s now forget what this Festival is all about – ART! Epcot will be filled with galleries overflowing with Disney artwork and familiar characters. I’m on the lookout for some Star Wars art this year. Let us know which character you’re looking for!

Contact Kimberly at Enchanted Kingdom Vacations if you’re looking for someone to help you plan a stress free Disney trip.

  • Interactive Activities Coming to the 2020 International Festival of the Arts

Interactive Activities Coming to the 2020 International Festival of the Arts

This year’s International Festival of the Arts at Epcot is filled with an abundance of interactive activities.

Let’s talk about 5 activities that let you create your own ‘Work of Art.’ These personalized souvenirs are sure to capture all the memories and fun you’ll experience on your Disney trip!

Let’s start with the mural along World Showcase Plaza. Each morning starts with a blank, paint by number mural. Join in the fun by getting a pot of color and foam paintbrush from a cast member. Then you’ll be instructed to paint a few squares in your color. You’ll receive a postcard with a picture of the finished mural and you can see it for yourself near the end of every day. The mural does change, so make sure you stop by on each visit. This activity and the souvenir postcard are free.

Remember making Spin Art as a little kid? Well, Disney that brought that back, and you can get the whole family involved! First you pick any 4 colors you like. Then you choose how to create your Spin Art. There’s the traditional tabletop process, or you can ride the awesome bike while a family member applies the paint for a more interactive experience. The price for this is $19 for the canvas, or $25 with a frame.

Arribas Brothers, the famous Spanish glass company, has added a new customized experience to their shop in Epcot’s Germany Pavilion. Starting January 17th you’ll be able to create your own piece of glass artwork. Choices range from picture frames, small plates perfect for holding jewelry, or pendants to wear everyday. After your masterpiece is finished they send it off to be melted together. The process takes about 3 days, and if you’re staying at a Disney hotel they will even deliver it to you! Cost for this is $25 – $55, which includes shipping in the US.

2D Cel Animation is part of many Disney animated features. Learn about the history of 2D Cel Animation and paint your very own Ink & Paint Cel with one of Disney’s Ink & Paint artists.
This was definetly my favorite activity! You’ll have your own personal Disney Artist to walk you through every step of the painting your character, so it’s sure to turn out spectacular. At the end you have your own animation cell to take home, plus a special gift.
Each week there’s a different Disney character to paint.
Call (407) WDW-FEST or (407) 939-3378 to reserve your spot
    Location: World Showplace Events Pavilion
    Days: Saturdays
Time: 10:00 AM to 11:15 AM
Price: $45 per Guest, plus tax

Last on our list is Figment’s Brush with the Masters. A scavenger hunt where the friendly dragon has painted himself into famous pieces of art in each World Showcase pavilion. This is a great way to get the whole family involved in exploring the World Showcase. After you find all the works of art, just return your map and pick your prize. This year there are 4 puzzles to choose from. The cost for this is $7.99 plus tax.

Whether a piece of art to display on a wall, or a glass pendant worn to work, these souvenirs are sure to bring back magical memories once you return home. Check out ArtfulEpcot.com for all the details on these and more experiences.

Make sure you contact Kimberly with Enchanted Kingdom Vacations for all your Disney Vacation Planning needs. Her services are FREE when you book through her!

Epcot International Festival of the Arts at Disney World will be returning Jan. 17 and today we are getting a first look at some of the amazing merch coming out of the festival including these new Minnie Ears inspired by Figment.

A spark of imagination was used in designing these ears for sure as they are the first set of ears to be made with reversible sequins. The sequins are purple when swiped down and rainbow when swiped up.

Where there would normally be a bow there is some signage on the headband showing figment and his very own paint and color company as you can see in the pictures below:

Typically, ears like these retail for $29.99 and they will be available at Epcot in Disney World when the Festival of the Arts begins on Jan. 17.
