  • Top 10 Best Walt Disney World Rides

Top 10 Best Walt Disney World Rides

Are you planning a trip to Walt Disney World? Do you want to know which rides and shows are must-sees at the resort’s four theme parks? Disney Dork’s has ranked the Top 10 best rides and attractions and here is our list.
    10 Toy Story Mania

    Number 10: Toy Story Mania

    • Location: Sunset Boulevard in Disney’s Hollywood Studios

The wildly popular 4D shoot-’em-up game rises above its all-ages carnival format to mix sheer joy with overzealous competition that’s well worth the resulting arm cramp

    9 Star Tours

Number 9: Star Tours – The Adventures Continue

    • Location: Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Blast off to a Star Wars galaxy far, far away in this spiffy, updated version of the first motion simulator ride. The technology behind the ride, which, among other things, allows multiple possible story lines, is truly astonishing. An expanded Star Wars land, which will bring two new attractions and a reportedly astonishing level of detail and immersion scheduled to open in the Studios park in 2019. Read my review of Star Tours.

    8 Mickeys Pillharmagic

    Number 8: Mickey’s PhilharMagic

    • Location: Fantasyland in Magic Kingdom

It’s easy to forget how good this 3D adventure through the pinnacle of ’90s Walt Disney animation is, but with its whimsy, humor, and a starring role for Donald Duck, it’s more than just an excuse to plunge into the cold AC on a hot summer day.

    8 Pirates of the Caribbean

Number 7: Pirates of the Caribbean

    • Location: Adventureland in Magic Kingdom

As far as dark rides go, the Magic Kingdom mainstay is as classic as it gets. With new life breathed into it by way of Johnny Depp’s likeness and the successful film series by the same name, it’s renewed as an equally enjoyable choice for all generations.

    6 Carousel of Progress

Number 6: Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress

    • Tomorrowland in Magic Kingdom

Incredibly nostalgic and necessary to preserve Disney’s history, the famed rotating theatre is a historic gem — but considering its slow-paced and always a great place to cool off and rest while soaking in some classic Disney.

    5 Tower of Terror

Number 5: The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror

    • Location: Sunset Boulevard in Disney’s Hollywood Studios

The iconic Hollywood Tower Hotel haunts visitors from its cobwebbed lobby to the very last plunge past the “fifth dimension,” utilizing an ever-changing drop sequence for endless thrills, whether or not you’re familiar with its namesake program.

    4 test track

    Number 4: Test Track

    • Location: Future World Epcot

A fan favorite for good reason — it’s the most aggressive coaster at Walt Disney World — Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster is a solid adrenaline rush set to the rock band’s classic hits whose speedy start outweighs its glow-in-the-dark decor feeling somewhat outdated.

    3 Rock n Roller Coaster

Number 3: Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith

    • Location: Sunset Boulevard in Disney’s Hollywood Studios

A fan favorite for good reason — it’s the most aggressive coaster at Walt Disney World — Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster is a solid adrenaline rush set to the rock band’s classic hits whose speedy start outweighs its glow-in-the-dark decor feeling somewhat outdated.

    2 Soarin Around the World

Number 2: Soarin’ Around the World

    • Location: Living with the Land Pavilion in Epcot

Peaceful, tranquil, and amazing! An engaging Disney E-ticket ride that uses pioneering “flying theater” technology, Soarin’ is a charming adventure. In 2016, it traded in a tour of California for international destinations including China, South America, and Australia.

    1 Flights of Passage

Number 1: Avatar Flight of Passage

    • Location: Pandora — The World of Avatar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Disney takes the flying theater ride system it developed for Soarin’ to the next level with this breathtaking attraction. Tethered to an avatar, you’ll experience the thrill of riding a banshee high above the moon of Pandora. It debuted in 2017 immediately vaulting itself into what we consider the best ride at Walt Disney World.

These are our top 10 rides.  What are your favorite rides?

  • ‘Nightmare Before Christmas’ Sally Ears Are Now At Disney Parks!

‘Nightmare Before Christmas’ Sally Ears Are Now At Disney Parks!

For those who can’t let go of the spooky vibe of Halloween but are excited for the other holidays coming our way, Disney has you covered with Nightmare Before Christmas Minnie Mouse ears that just popped up at Disneyland.

The new ears, which are blue with faux stitching and a studded bow, were inspired by the Nightmare character Sally and have been blowing up on Instagram. The ears are available for purchase outside of the Haunted Mansion ride for $25, and are selling out quickly, so find your Jack Skellington and head there before it’s too late.

The Nightmare Before Christmas Minnie Mouse ears join a long line of specialty ears. Over the summer, rose gold Minnie Mouse ears were released in all their millennial pink glittery glory and rainbow unicorn glittery ears quickly followed. The Sally Claws–inspired new additions are more aligned with the goth trend for those who aren’t particularly interested in sequins.

Many people have posted on Instagram that they are sold out in the parks but it doesn’t hurt to check to see if they’re in stock next time you visit a Disney park!

  • Star Wars: Han Solo Grew a Beard After ‘Return of the Jedi’

Star Wars: Han Solo Grew a Beard After ‘Return of the Jedi’

This Friday when Star Wars Battlefront II is released fans will get their first chance to find out what happened to their favorite characters after Return of the Jedi.  This time the game comes with a campaign mode which will offer fans the chance to explore these storylines first hand.

One of the missions features the Star Wars galaxy’s most infamous smuggler Han Solo, and his grooming habits have notably changed. That’s right, Han Solo has a new beard in the game.

Warning: Minor spoilers for Battlefront II below.

While we already know Luke Skywalker also plays a major role in the campaign, which tees off the events of Star Wars: The Force Awakens in a major way, Han Solo’s mission ties into an issue that stems from the prequel trilogy.

After destroying the second Death Star’s shield generator on Endor, Han decided to help out his best friend and co-pilot Chewbacca in his attempts to rid the Imperial presence on the wookie’s home planet of Kashyyyk. But he needs information first.

Han travels to Takodana and meets Maz Kanata in her castle, where she’s serving drinks to some of the best and brightest scum in the galaxy. So when Han says he goes way back with Maz in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, he means it.

Maz chastises Han for not bringing Chewbacca around, and Han admits it’s because Chewie is afraid of her. He admits that they’re on Takodana to get some intel from a defecting Imperial analyst who can give them data on the Empire’s forces on Kashyyyk and Maz gets angry, warning him not to bring the Empire to her front door.

Han meets with the analyst and, of course, things don’t go as planned, forcing the two to mount an escape while evading Stormtroopers and TIE Fighters.

Maz, of course, doesn’t appreciate that Han did the one thing she asked him not to do, but he promises to repay her. After destroying the TIEs with the help of Rebel forces, he and Chewie embark on a quest to liberate Kashyyyk. The game jumps elsewhere at that point, treating Han’s journey as a nice diversion.

Spoiler alert: he doesn’t keep the beard in the future.

Star Wars Battlefront II releases on November 17.
