New Dole Whip-Flavored Beer Released by Florida Brewery Sells Out Immediately

A Florida brewery has produced a Dole Whip flavored beer that tastes just like the popular tastey Disney Parks treat.

First Magnitude Brewing, a craft brewery in Gainesville, Fla., has recently debuted a beer inspired by — and allegedly tasting like — the popular Dole Whip treats served at Disney parks, the Dole Plantation in Hawaii and select other locations.

Called the Dole Whip Sour, the drink supposedly tastes like the pineapple soft serve and consists of the “actual Dole Whip mix,” pineapple puree and milk sugar. The company took to the internet to announce the new boozy beverage as you can see in the post below:

On their Instagram, the brewery describes Dole Whip Sour as “creamy, dreamy sour that isn’t too sweet or tart, it’s just the right balance and is packed with pineapple goodness.” Each can weighs in at six percent ABV and better yet, the Gainesville location has a convenient drive-thru brewery so locals can pick up their cans with limited person-to-person contact.

Unfortunately, the brewery seemed to have run out of the beer in just three days due to intense interest.

For the first time, ever, an animated series on the Disney Channel features a main character that is bisexual.

The series “The Owl House” follows Luz Noceda on her adventures to a magical world as she becomes a witch.

After a few episodes aired, the showed debuted in late 2020, series creator Dana Terrace took to Twitter to confirm that Luz is bisexual as you can see in the tweet below:

Terrace identifies as bisexual. She wanted to write about a bisexual character, so she really pushed Disney to allow the character.

“Luckily my stubbornness paid off, and now I am very supported by current Disney leadership,” she said.

The 14-year-old Dominican-American girl, Luz Noceda, is not Disney’s first LGBTQ+ character. Pixar featured a gay main character in a short film on Disney Plus, but Luz is the first bisexual character to make a Disney debut on a television series.

The benefits of using Disney technology at resort hotels really begins before check-in with the My Disney Experience app.  When you arrive, the app feature allows you to skip the front desk!  After checking in online, you’ll receive a notification and can use a MagicBand or My Disney Experience digital key for limited-contact entry.

If you haven’t used it yet, the digital key is the latest in the evolution of keyless room entry.   The service turns a Bluetooth®-enabled phone into a digital key that unlocks a room door, hotel entrance gate and other common area doors requiring a key.  Check our earlier digital key story for details.

During your stay, Disney technology also allows you to virtual chat with a resort cast member at your convenience.  This feature, which is also found in the My Disney Experience app, offers support nearly anytime—so there’s no need to visit the lobby or stand in line.

Of course, there are many more convenient technologies to be discovered  – so, be sure to download the latest version of My Disney Experience for your next stay at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel.

  • Disney Releases Uniform Coronavirus Face Masks for Park Employees

Disney Releases Uniform Coronavirus Face Masks for Park Employees

Disney Parks has debuted matching face masks for it’s U.S. theme park employees as the coronavirus pandemic continues.

Designed in partnership across the Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World costuming teams – these face coverings were developed remotely through a bi-coastal effort between cast members at both resorts.

“Over the past several months, we’ve spent significant time and brainpower to provide our cast members with face coverings that are both functional and comfortable, and I’m proud of the incredible results,” said Dr. Pamela Hymel, Disney Parks Chief Medical Officer. “They fit well, feel great and can last for more than 50 washes.”

Drawing from their own experience, the project stemmed from a need for a more unified and breathable face covering. With the full support of their leaders at Disney, this group seized the opportunity to create the unique, reusable face covering, specifically made for cast members at Disneyland and Disney World.

“The unified design speaks to the fact that we are still one unified Cast, one Disney ‘world,’” shared Yonit Olshan, Costume Designer, Disneyland Resort Costuming. “As a creative team, we gained so much from each other’s experience and exposure to different types of problems and projects.”

Offered exclusively for cast members in two styles, pleated and contoured, and in multiple sizes, the design team sourced and tested a wide range of fabrics, styles and features with a focus on comfort and function. Both styles feature adjustable spandex over the ears, extended nose pinch to the face, contoured shape under eyes, and lightweight, quick-drying material.

Drawing inspiration from classic Disney characters, films and television shows, the pattern unifies what every dreamer and cast member have in common – joy, magic, and a little pixie dust. They sparkle with pixie dust and Mickey constellations, recalling that the second star to the right shines in the dreamy night and reminds us to keep wishing upon that evening star.
