    Disney World To Extend Annual Passes Due to Coronavirus Closure

    Thursday, Disney World announced it is closing its four theme parks starting Sunday night due to the spread of the coronavirus and they have now decided to extend Annual Passes to make up for the missed time.

    The theme park closure will last until the end of March, Disney officials said, leaving many passholders wondering how that would affect their passes.

    Disney officials said on its website, “Walt Disney World annual passes will be extended by the number of days the parks are closed, March 16, 2020 through March 31, 2020,” as you can see below:

    For Disney guests that purchased Disney After Hours, Disney Villains After Hours and Disney Early Morning Magic between the closure dates will receive a refund, officials said. You can find more information on thie roffical website here.

    BREAKING: Disney World Raises Prices on Annual Passes

    Walt Disney World has raised the cost of most of its annual passes, according to the park’s website.

    Prices for annual passes increased overnight, just a few months after the last time they were increased in June ahead of the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge back in August.

    Take a look below at the new prices:

    • Platinum Plus: $1295 (previously $1219)
    • Platinum: $1195 (previously $1119)
    • Gold (Florida residents and DVC members only): $719 (previously $699)

    Florida residents only:

    • Silver: $539 (previously $519)
    • Weekday Select Pass: $369 (previously $349)
    • EPCOT After 4 pass: $319 (previously $304)

    There’s some good news for Florida residents though, the Platinum and Platinum Plus passes remained the same at $899 and $999. The Theme Park Select Pass also remained the same at $439.

    Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway will open March 4, 2020, at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and of course that means lots of merch and today Disney revealed a new Passholder exclusive MagicBand that is just perfect!

    The new MagicBand will be available along with all of the other ride exclusive merchandise when the attraction opens in March.

    With the return of the popular Bring-a-Friend offer, select Passholders can share the magic of Disney with others through the purchase of a 1-day ticket with Park Hopper Option for the special price of $89 plus tax, available for purchase and use from June 18-Aug. 8, 2019 (offer valid for Gold, Platinum, Platinum Plus and Premier Passholders).

    Tickets will be available for purchase at theme park ticket windows and must be used on the date of purchase. Passholders can purchase up to six (6) tickets over the course of this promotion.

    From special ticket deals to exclusive merchandise opportunities and other experiences, now, more than ever, is the time for Passholders to explore the many options available to them at Walt Disney World Resort.

    Take a look below at all the new and limited time Passholder offerings this summer includes:

    • Ticket deals
      • With the return of the popular Bring-a-Friend offer, select Passholders can share the magic of Disney with others through the purchase of a 1-day ticket with Park Hopper Option for the special price of $89 plus tax, available for purchase and use from June 18-Aug. 8, 2019 (offer valid for Gold, Platinum, Platinum Plus and Premier Passholders). Tickets will be available for purchase at water park ticket windows.

      • H2O Glow Nights are back in 2019 at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park, and Passholders can save $15 off the price sold at the ticket window when purchasing tickets in advance for this nighttime party on select nights. While at the party, Passholders can meet Bo Peep from Disney•Pixar’s “Toy Story 4” in an experience exclusive to them through June 29, 2019.
      • Passholders can take a walk on the vile side during Disney Villains After Hours, a special event held on select nights this summer at Magic Kingdom Park, and will save $30 off the price sold at the ticket window when purchasing tickets in advance. Beginning June 27, they will also receive a complimentary special Passholder Disney Villains After Hours ornament featuring Hades while at the event (limit one (1) per Passholder while supplies last). Ornaments can be picked up at Mickey’s Star Traders in Tomorrowland during the event.
    • Limited-time dining discounts
      • Select table-service restaurants across Walt Disney World Resort will offer Passholders a 20% discount on lunch (11:30 a.m.-4 p.m.) now through July 2, 2019.

    In addition, Platinum, Platinum Plus and Premier Annual Passholders will be among the first to experience Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, with complimentary special preview opportunities planned before the land’s opening on Aug. 29. Capacity is limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. More information and registration details for previews will be shared at a later date.

    Figment Annual Passholder Magnet Coming to Epcot Festival of the Arts

    Annual Passholder’s love their magnets and recently Disney has been offering a variety of magnets with various characters on them. Today, Disney is giving us a first look at the new Figment Annual Passholder magnet coming to the 2019 Epcot International Festival of the Arts.

    The festival takes place Jan. 18 through Feb. 25 and on your first visit to the festival, receive a complimentary Passholder magnet that will feature Figment for the first time. Just stop into Mouse Gear or Port of Entry and show your valid annual pass card and photo ID.

    Passholders can complete their “Figment” look by receiving a 20% Passholder discount on a Festival of the Arts MagicBand, which will feature the playful, purple dragon, plus a Figment spirit jersey, T-shirt, ornament and more. They can also pick up Passholder-exclusive festival merchandise that will include a t-shirt and coaster set featuring Mickey Mouse, a pin featuring Pluto – and an exclusive Figment cookie available for purchase at Taste Track from Jan. 18 through Jan. 26.

    Passholders can also enjoy a 10% discount for dining packages for the Disney on Broadway Concert Series throughout the festival, and a special 20% discount on dining packages at Biergarten Restaurant and Coral Reef Restaurant for lunch and dinner through Jan. 31. The Disney on Broadway Concert Series returns this year with live performances seven nights a week and features six new performers!

    It’s a New Year and there is so much to celebrate at Disney Parks. Today, Disney announced that they are kicking off 2019 with new V.I.PASSHOLDER Pop-Up Events you won’t want to miss.

    The first Walt Disney World V.I.PASSHOLDER event of 2019 will be the Potion Purple Premiere Pop-Up Event in Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom Park on Thursday, January 10 from 5-7 p.m. At this event, you can be among the first to purchase the new potion purple merchandise, including adult and youth spirit jerseys, “Vacation Mode” water bottle, Loungefly mini backpack, Loungefly wallet and a new women’s Mickey T-shirt; sip and savor the newest purple food and beverage offerings for purchase – and discover more surprises.

    Registration not required to attend this event, however a valid annual pass card and photo ID are required at check-in. Activities and offerings are subject to change without notice. Merchandise available while supplies last. The 20% Passholder merchandise discount is applicable for merchandise purchases during this event.

    Disney is Introducing the first ever V.I.PASSHOLDER pop-up merchandise event – just in time for you to get in the Halloween spirit and prepare for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party!

    Back in July we told you about the new exclusive V.I.Passholder Nights which will give Annual Passholders exclusive access to Magic Kingdom or Epcot for two hours after each parks closes and now it seems that they are adding a few more perks!

    On Friday, September 28 at Magic Kingdom, Passholders get first access to purchase new Halloween merchandise before the park opens. Take a look below at all this special AP event will offer!

    At this Halloween Spooktacular shopping event, you can:

    • Get early access to Main Street U.S.A. at the Magic Kingdom from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM and be among the first to purchase the newest releases of Halloween merchandise at Emporium.
