  • The Amazing Eats at Packed in Woody’s Lunch Box in Toy Story Land

The Amazing Eats at Packed in Woody’s Lunch Box in Toy Story Land

Woody’s Lunch Box will the go to place to eat when Toy Story land opens up on June 30 and it will be dishing up all sorts of sandwiches and sides that blend classic flavor combinations with a modern twist, plus nostalgic soda floats and specialty beverages.

In the toy-filled backyard that is Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, guests “shrink” to the size of a toy and explore the world of Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and friends. In the middle of all the fun, Andy has taken his vintage Woody-themed lunch box and propped it open with a thermos, turning it into a walk-up window where his toys can grab a bite to eat. Here is a peek into whats has been packed in Woody’s Lunch Box.

    Toy Story Land Food

S’more French Toast Breakfast Sandwich – Oozy goodness in a chocolate ganache- and marshmallow-stuffed French toast topped with graham cracker crumbles. Inspired by the classic American campfire treat.

    Toy Story Land Food

Smoked Turkey, Eggs, Swiss, Peppers, and Onions on Sourdough – The perfect hand-held stack of breakfast goodness.

    Toy Story Land Food

Breakfast Bowl – The green army men line up for this hearty bowl of potato barrels, brisket-country gravy, and scrambled eggs.

    Toy Story Land Food

BBQ Brisket Melt – With a nod to cowboy Woody, this Texas-style smoked brisket features cheddar, Monterey Jack, pickles, and BBQ sauce on garlic butter-grilled sourdough.

    Toy Story Land Food

Monte Cristo with Raspberry Jam – Woody’s version of this classic sandwich has layers of ham, turkey, Swiss, and raspberry jam…and is grilled to a golden brown.

    Toy Story Land Food

Totchos – Potato barrels, corn chips, chili, and cheese – what’s not to love??

Toy Story Land Food Toy Story Land Food

Sides include tomato basil soup, vegetable macaroni salad, and potato barrels. Mini Babybel snack cheese, the official snack cheese of Walt Disney World Resort, is also an option to eat with your meal or as an on-the-go snack.

    Toy Story Land Food

Raspberry Lunch Box Tart garnished with Icing and Dried Fruit and Chocolate-Hazelnut Lunch Box Tart garnished with Icing and Caramelized Bacon – Even toys need a sweet treat! Inspired by breakfast toaster pastries, this modern interpretation, with its uniquely delicate crust, is the perfect hand-held pastry.

The littlest toys can enjoy a grilled cheese sandwich or turkey sandwich, both served with potato barrels and mandarin oranges. For toys looking for more lighter options, they can grab one of these tasty bites at Woody’s Lunch Box or check out the many other healthful offerings available at Disney’s Hollywood Studios including fresh fruits and vegetables, salads, and grilled meats and fish.

Banana Split Yogurt Parfait – Layers of banana-vanilla Greek yogurt (with a hint of honey), fresh bananas, strawberries, and pineapple topped with granola and chocolate chips. A delicious and healthful way to start the day!

Smoked Turkey, Tomato, and Lettuce on Multigrain Bread – This quintessential lunch box sandwich is a light and fresh option. And to give it a kick of flavor, we add a creamy Dijonnaise.

Soda Floats – All toys would agree that a refreshing soda float is the perfect nostalgic beverage!

The adorable Alien Sipper may be purchased and filled with any fountain drink or the signature Mystic Portal Punch – Powerade Mountain Berry Blast with flavors of lemon-lime and tangerine.

The team at Flavor Lab – the concept development kitchen – has described just how much fun (and challenging) it was to take sentimental food favorites and give them a modern make-over…in flavor and presentation.

“Everyone has a special food memory, so it can be tricky putting a modern spin on the favorites,” explained Lenny DeGeorge, Concept Development Culinary Director for Walt Disney World, about the year-long menu development process.  “We honored these classic dishes by using the best ingredients to elevate the flavors. How we constructed the sandwiches was important, such as layering the ingredients in a specific order, to maximize textures and flavors. Why have a cold sandwich when you can have a toasted hot, gooey cheese-filled one?”

The big kids can enjoy the backyard with Grown-Up’s Lemonade cocktail (cherry vodka, Odwalla Lemonade, and black cherry purée), beer, or hard cider. It all looks so good!  This is a lunch box that only your mother could pack!

New Lamplight Lounge to Open June 23 at Pixar Pier in Disney California Adventure Park

Pixar Pier opens on June 23 at Disney California Adventure park and when it does, guests will discover a new hot spot at the Lamplight Lounge. This seaside lounge will be an elegant yet fun gathering place for the whole family, located at the entrance of Pixar Pier.

Lamplight Lounge will serve California casual gastro-pub cuisine that is playfully presented along with unique signature cocktails. This seaside lounge contains a full bar with picturesque waterfront views from both upstairs and downstairs. Be Our Guest Restaurant Will Now Cost Two Table Service Credits On Disney Dining Plan

Earlier Disney announced that Be Our Guest Restaurant will be offering a new enhanced prix fixe dinner menu that includes new offerings including a variety of French-inspired dishes. Now online reports indicate that dinner will have new pricing plan for the three course meal and it will now cost two table service credits for those on the Disney Dining Plan.

Pricing will be $55 for adults and $35 for children, or two Disney Dining Plan credits according to a report by WDWMagic. This puts the dining experience in line with signature dining locations and even some character dining experiences.

The change will take place when the new menu goes into effect on July 27th.  Guests were concerned when online reports noticed that reservations for July were not available, but we know now why. This exciting new menu was a good reason for the booking interruption and Disney will be creating a new children’s menu as well to be released at a later date.

Be Our Guest Restaurant is an expansive and elegant 550-seat dining destination located at the foot of Beast’s Castle in Fantasyland. Whether you are enjoying a quick-service breakfast or lunch, or the stately elegance of a table-service dinner

There have been reports that Belle will be joining Beast during the experience, but now there is speculation that Disney may even add more characters, but there has yet to be an official announcement on that.

Reservations are once again available again from July 27 and beyond and you can begin booking your advanced dining reservations starting this Friday, February 23rd.

  • Logo for Disney World’s Club 33 Revealed

Logo for Disney World’s Club 33 Revealed

Walt Disney World is getting its own version of Club 33, Disneyland’s famously exclusive members-only posh hideaway and it appears the official logo has made its way to the internet.

Membership sales are expected to go on sale to the general public soon, but residents of Walt Disney World’s upscale community Golden Oak are already able to apply for membership for the Walt Disney World version of the secret club.

The cost of registration is $25,000 with annual dues of $15,000. The photo below posted on twitter shows another look at the new logo.

The original Club 33 was originally intended as a hideaway for Walt Disney to host elite park guests. The private club is hidden at the top of a staircase in New Orleans Square at Disneyland. When he was working with various corporate promoters for his attractions at the 1964–1965 New York World’s Fair, he noticed the various “VIP Lounges” provided as accommodation for the corporate elite. This gave him the idea that culminated in Club 33. When New Orleans Square was planned, this special area for corporate sponsors and VIPs was included.

While Club 33 was originally intended for exclusive use by Disneyland’s corporate sponsors and other industry VIPs, when it opened on June 15, 1967, six months after Disney’s death, individual memberships were also offered.

It’s not exactly clear what benefits members of the club will receive at Walt Disney World, but Disneyland members get quite a few. Club 33 members and their guests have exclusive access to resort experiences, which vary depending on type of membership. In addition to the clubs restaurant, access may also include Le Salon Nouveau, a jazz lounge within New Orleans Square, and 1901, a lounge in Disney California Adventure; neither are open to the public. Club 33 is the only location within Disneyland Park to offer alcoholic beverages.

Club 33 Members designate themselves and/or others to receive Premier Passports valid for Disneyland and Walt Disney World. In addition, their Club 33 membership card grants them access to early park admission, as long as they and up to three accompanying guests have an accompanying annual pass or valid day ticket. Members are entitled to complimentary valet parking at the Disneyland Resort Hotels and access to many private and exclusive events held within the Club 33 restaurant and Le Salon Nouveau, throughout the Disneyland Resort, and a select number of experiences in destinations outside of Disneyland.

For the price tag you can bet the exclusive membership at Walt Disney World will surely come with quite a few perks.

There are plans to put a Club 33 outpost in each of Disney World’s four Orlando theme parks, each with its own unique look. Including Disneyland the club has three locations already with similar sites in Tokyo Disneyland and Shanghai Disneyland.
