Prices Increase For Churros, Pretzels, Popcorn, Sodas and More at Disney World

Disney recently introduced a new pricing system for tickets, but it seems that’s not the only pricing changes the company has made.  Starting today prices on a wide variety of snacks, including popcorn, churros, pretzels, sodas and more, are seeing an increase in price.

Small fountain drinks have increased from $3.00 to $3.50 while large fountain drinks are also up fifty cents at $4.50.  Mickey pretzels have increased a whole dollar, going from $6.00 up to $7.00.

Price hikes have been spotted all over the parks today on all sorts of items. Take a look below at some of the increases on many of your favorite Disney goodies, including the guest favorite churro which saw an increase of $1.75, making it $6.25.

    • Mickey Bar, Mickey Ice Cream Sandwich – Up from $5.00 to $5.75
    • Mickey Pretzel – Up from $6.00 to $7.00
    • Churro – Up from$4.50 to $6.25
    • Popcorn – Up from $4.25 to $5.00

    • Frozen Bananas – Up from $5.25 to $5.75

While tickets have a new system that allows for more flexible prices, don’t count on any type for date based snack prices.  These prices are here to stay year round.

  • Mobile Ordering Now Available at More Disneyland Resort Quick-Service Food Locations

Mobile Ordering Now Available at More Disneyland Resort Quick-Service Food Locations

Mobile ordering captured the attention – and hungry tummies – of Disneyland Resort guests when it launched earlier this year with 15 fast casual and quick-service restaurant locations across Disneyland park and Disney California Adventure park. Since that time, the convenient service has been added to several more locations.

Just last week, new locations at Disneyland park – Edelweiss Snacks, Stage Door Café, Refreshment Corner and Royal Street Veranda – were added to the lineup, which now includes more than 20 participating locations!

Mobile ordering makes it easier than ever for guests to order, pay and pick up fresh food while spending a day at the parks. All you need is your phone and the Disneyland app, and you can place and order anywhere at Disneyland Resort! Whether you’re strolling down Main Street, U.S.A., or waiting to hop on Haunted Mansion Holiday, mobile order makes it easy to plan ahead, save time and make the most out of your day.

In addition to the full list of menu offerings at each of these locations, guests can also currently order some seasonal favorites at these new locations, including the Halloween Hot Dog at Refreshment Corner and seasonal funnel cake at Stage Door Cafe, now through October 31.

The mobile ordering feature on the Disneyland app is just one of the many ways Disney continues to enhance the guest experience at Disneyland Resort, including Disney MaxPass, also on the Disneyland App.

  • Tips For Dining at Disney Parks with Celiacs Disease

Tips For Dining at Disney Parks with Celiacs Disease

If you have Celiacs Disease, then you know going on vacation can be stressful having to plan around where and what you can eat. What you may not know is that Walt Disney World Resort is committed to offering a wide range of culinary and dietary options for all its Guests.

Many Disney restaurants now offer allergy-friendly menus to address various food intolerances including Celiacs, offering many gluten-free options — often with no advance arrangements!

In 2017 I was diagnosed with Celiac, I thought for sure my food adventure at Disney was coming to an end.

The first time I went to Disney after my diagnoses I was greeted by a very knowledgeable server at Cape May Café who knew exactly what accommodations needed to be made to allow to me enjoy a worry free meal.  He walked me through the menu and then brought the chef out to chat with me about substitutions (what were the options?).  This type of service encouraged me to write about conquering Disney with Celiac.

Some of my favorite gluten-free treats at Disney are the Mickey waffles (Found at quick service and table service restaurants), gluten-free beignets (found at Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter) and the gluten-free Churro (found at the Nomad Lounge in Animal Kingdom)

With any allergy there are a few tricks you need to know before you go.  If you have an allergy at this time you cannot pre-order your meal on My Disney Experience. If you are an adult sharing a plate with a child under 3 and that child has a food allergy, you will need to order your food to the child’s needs, without the allergen. Disney is extremely careful about cross contamination, so they will not serve a gluten-free waffle next to gluten containing items.  When dining at a quick service location, I would suggest that you send one adult ahead of the party so they can start the order for the person with the food allergy.  It takes additional time to prep and cook an allergen free meal, so keep this in mind while you are making FastPass+ reservations well.  Your dining experience will be extended by at least 10 minutes in my experience.

Don’t be afraid to ask questions, the food and beverage cast members take a course on food allergy safety.  If all else fails they have a great big ol’ book of cheat sheets!  A chef will greet you at your table and either escort you through the buffet or guide you through the menu, even at the resort food courts that will walk you through the options and explain the process of food substitutions.

When a guest with food allergies makes a reservation through Enchanted Kingdom Vacations a note is added to your file notating the allergy. Then your allergy is noted on each dining reservation your knowledgeable agent books for you. This makes sure your vacation is just as delightful and delicious as the rest of your family (how?).   There are even allergy free cleaning products that will be used for your resort room during your stay! Even the H2O bath products are soy and gluten-free (yes, gluten is a common ingredient in shampoo).

Contact me today to set up your next magical vacation! When Dining at Disney you are in extremely safe and knowledgeable hands!

New Toy Story Land Refillable Popcorn Buckets Now Available at Hollywood Studios

If you love playing in Andy’s back yard at the new Toy Story Land in Hollywood Studios and collecting novelty popcorn buckets then this the perfect news for you! New this week is a Toy Story Land Refillable Popcorn Bucket and you’re going to love it to “infinity and beyond.”

The popcorn bucket features Jessie and Bullseye on one side and Stinky Pete and Woody on the other. The popcorn bucket features a picture of the whole gang is hanging out in front of a fence on an old west ranch with Woody’s Round Up sign printed on it .

I love the design so much, but the pop corn is my favorite part and if anyone tries to take any… I’ve set my laser from stun, to kill. They will only cost $10 and of course they are refillable! You can take a closer look at both sides in the photos below.
