New 20th anniversary Animal Kingdom MagicBand

Disney’s Animal Kingdom is fast approaching it’s 20th anniversary and to help celebrate the milestone for the park, Disney is offering a Limited Edition MagicBand that shows off some of the amazing creatures you can expect to see during your visit.

This MagicBand is brown and is adorned with various animals. It also has the 20th anniversary Animal Kingdom logo on it.

It will be exclusively sold at Disney’s Animal Kingdom as part of an edition size of 2,000 and will be available March 21.

With your MagicBand, you can connect to the choices you make in the My Disney Experience app and unlock the magic of a Walt Disney World Disney vacation – from effortless theme park entry to Disney PhotoPass association, FastPass+ redemption, room entry with Online Check-In Service and more.

New Purple Wall-Inspired MagicBands Available in March

The purple wall at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom is more than just a plain purple wall. It’s become one of the most popular spots for an insta-worthy selfie and now Disney Parks is offering a ‘Meet Me at the Purple Wall’ MagicBand to complement that perfect purple pic!

The spot has become increasingly popular for pics overtime and now getting a pic at the wall is becoming a Disney Must Do. To find the spot just walk down the ramp from Tomorrowland Terrace toward the entrance to Tomorrowland. Right when you hit the turn into the land, you’ll see the Purple Wall on your right.

Fans can now show off their appreciation for the famous Purple Wall at Magic Kingdom Park with a new, limited release MagicBand which Disney has carefully designed to match the exact color shade from the Purple Wall.

There is more purple merch where that came from. You can also pair the MagicBand with one of the “Meet Me at the Purple Wall” baseball caps.

They will both be available as part of a two-week flash sale on ShopDisney.com beginning March 5.

Hot New Colors and Dooney & Bourke Designs Highlight New MagicBands

Last month Disney released a brand new MagicBand color, millennial pink, and now there are two more exciting colors to introduce, as well as several new designs based on some of your favorite Disney films.

With Walt Disney’s timeless classic “Peter Pan” marking its 65th anniversary this month, they are rolling out our latest color, navy blue, in a design that features the London night sky – plus a bit of pixie dust. This MagicBand is currently available online at shopDisney and will be in stores Feb. 9 and retails for $22.99 plus tax.

A second new color, cream, will be available on a limited release Dooney & Bourke MagicBand that will come in specialty suitcase-themed packaging and may be purchased exclusively in the theme parks for $48 plus tax.

Another Dooney & Bourke-branded MagicBand, with a limited edition size of 500, will be offered at the 10th Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend expo beginning on Feb. 22 while supplies last for $48 plus tax.

The highly-anticipated Marvel Studios film, “Black Panther,” hits theaters on Feb. 16 and we’re celebrating its release with this super new MagicBand. The MagicBand has a limited edition size of 2,500 and will be available for purchase while supplies last online and in stores beginning Feb. 16 for $32.99 plus tax.

Other new MagicBand releases for February feature designs inspired by “The Lion King,” “The Little Mermaid” and “The Nightmare Before Christmas,” including one of my personal favorites, a glow-in-the-dark Oogie Boogie-themed black MagicBand. These MagicBands will be available for purchase beginning Feb. 12 online and in stores Feb. 16.

Newest MagicBands Are A Must Have

‘Oh boy!’ Several new MagicBands have just been released and they are my new favorite thing! The Mickey Mouse inspired one is my favorite, but they are all super cute!

With the debut of the I Am Mickey MagicBand, Disney has taken care of the customization for Guests. This item pays homage to Mickey Mouse in a new and sleek way with a black MagicBand and yellow center icon. This first ever pre-customized MagicBand is currently available for $22.99 wherever MagicBands are sold. You can already Find this one on the shopDisney website.

You may have noticed over the past year some of your favorite attractions now have their very own MagicBand such as The Pirates of the Caribbean and The Seas with Nemo and Friends. Beginning Jan. 15, 2018, thrill seekers and fans of Expedition Everest at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park will be able to purchase a red MagicBand complete with icons and patches representative of this train ride through the Himalayan Mountains. This Limited Release MagicBand will retail for $27.99.

Also, this month, in honor of the theatrical release of 101 Dalmatians in 1961, they are releasing the first-ever MagicBand to feature Pongo, Perdita and a few of those famous paw prints. This white MagicBand will be available Jan. 22 online and in select retail locations throughout the Walt Disney World Resort on Jan. 26, 2018 and retail for $22.99.

And don’t forget about this years Valentine’s Day Limited Edition Release. For the Aladdin and Jasmine admirers out there, the latest LE MagicBand for the upcoming holiday depicts the couple on their moonlit carpet ride over Agrabah. This teal MagicBand is now available with an edition size of 2,400 and retails for $32.99.

One last bit of exciting news is they have launched three new colors to their current MagicKeeper line. They have added blue, pink and purple. These MagicKeepers allow even more customization as you can swap icon colors to create new, fun looks.

Valentine’s Day Limited Edition MagicBand Released for 2018

If you’re and Aladdin and Jasmine fan then you’ll love the new 2018 Valentine’s Day MagicBand released earlier this week.

It’s a Limited Edition that features Aladdin and Jasmine on a teal colored band as they fly through the sky. One one side it says Happy Valentine’s Day and on the other A Whole New World. They only made 2400 of this LE release so if you want to get one for that someone special this Valentine’s Day you’ll have to find one fast.

Disney has released a Valentine’s Day band now for three years in a row, and they usually sell out very quickly.

This one retails for $32.99 and if you’re lucky can find these around Walt Disney World and they should also be available on shopDisney soon.

Bluetooth Allows Guests To Open Room Without Tapping MagicBand

Wouldn’t it be great if you could open your Walt Disney World Resort room door without having to tap your MagicBand. That just might be a reality with Disney adding bluetooth functionality to MagicBands.

Rumors popped up all over the internet Tuesday about Disney adding Bluetooth functionality to MagicBands and that means no more ‘Mickey to Mickey’ as the cast members say. It also means no spinning that MagicBand around on your wrist trying to get the MagicBand in the right spot to tap and when you have bags full of merchandise in hands.

First Disney introduced MagicBands with RF technology that allowed keyless entry which made things easier, but now they are adding another technology to MagicBands to make it even easier to get in your room. And if the rumours are true that’s Bluetooth Technology, which should allow guest to open their resort room door just by being near it. Disney is always looking to expand ways to use new technology to create new and amazing Guest experiences and enhanced Guest service.

Reports say that Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort will be the first to test out the new Bluetooth functionality. This would mean that guests wouldn’t have to actually touch their MagicBand to the door at these resorts and they would be able to open the door with their MagicBand just by being near it.

The bluetooth tech has technically always been in the MagicBands, but this would be the first time they have made use of it and the possibilities are limitless. No word yet as to if park entry, FastPass+, Dining Plan, etc. will start use the technology as well, but that would be the next logical step. There is no official word on this from Disney yet, so we will have to wait and see.

“Millennial Pink” MagicBands are the Next Disney Must Have

A new solid colored pink MagicBand will be arriving at Walt Disney World in a couple of weeks and these are totes adorbs. The new MagicBands dubbed “millennial pink”, may be ‘light’ pink but they will for sure be a ‘hot’ seller.

This according to a couple of YouTubers who posted it on their Instagram account recently. It’s unknown how they actually got a hold of them, but we can’t wait to see them in person and sport one around the parks. As a solid color they will probably cost $12.99, but you never know with a new MagicBand as cute as this one.

A special new MagicBand was released Wednesday for Walt Disney’s Birthday. This beautiful purple magic band features Tinker Bell and a black-and-white photo of Walt Disney on one side and his signature on the other.

This one’s already wildly popular as it’s the first ever MagicBand with Walt on it available for purchase and not promotional use. You’ll feel like the king of Walt Disney World Resort when wearing this limited release MagicBand 2. With a simple touch, redeem FastPass+ selections, enter parks, charge purchases to your room, and much more.

MagicBands are colorful, waterproof wristbands – resembling a watch or bracelet – that you can quickly and easily touch to a sensor called a ”touch point.” You will receive a MagicBand 2 if you stay at a Disney Resort Hotel in Florida or you are a Walt Disney World Resort Passholder.

This beauty is available at shopDisney.com for $27.99 and is a very good price for a Limited Edition. Especially when it has the face of Walt himself.
