Disney just released a new poster for Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, and it shows you’ll be traveling into a world where Mouse Rules Apply! The ride will be coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios in spring 2020 and Disneyland’s Toontown in 2022.

Hollywood Studios Chinese Theater and the new El Capitoon Theater in Disneyland will serve as magic portals that lets you step through the movie screen and join Mickey and the gang on some wacky adventures pulled directly from the Disney Channel’s Emmy® Award-winning “Mickey Mouse” cartoon shorts. The Runaway Railway will feature a new technology known as “2 & 1⁄2 D,” which is like 3D without glasses.

For this release, the iconic Ray-Ban New Wayfarer design has been updated with a polarized lens and custom Mickey Mouse print on the outside of the temples, featuring the classic Mickey colors of red, yellow and black. Beginning May 24, guests visiting Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort can purchase a series of limited-release Mickey Mouse ear hats and Minnie Mouse ear headbands that, for the first time ever, are designed by notable celebrities, designers and artists!
The collection will introduce signature elements of each collaborator to the iconic silhouettes of Mickey and Minnie for a never-before-seen look. For those of you not at the resorts, you’re in luck! They will also be available online at shopDisney.com.
Each month, new designs will be released such as a bridal-inspired design using hand sewn crystal and pearl embroidery by Vera Wang, a decadent crystal-encrusted ear hat from The Blonds, a classic pink-puffed ear headband by Betsey Johnson, a mommy-and-daughter set by Cupcakes and Cashmere and a genuine crafted leather, floral-inspired ear headband by COACH, as seen above.
Legendary supermodel, television host and entrepreneur Heidi Klum also designed a dazzling pair of ears coming this fall, as seen above. And in early 2020, another stunning ear headband will hit the shelves from American supermodel and entrepreneur Karlie Kloss.

As we previously reported, “Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway” at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, is opening in 2020 and today Disney has revealed several exciting new details!
Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway makes for the first ever Mickey-themed ride-through attraction. The new attraction will totally immerse guests in a cartoon world and will feature a new catchy theme song created especially for the attraction. They say it’s an ear worm for sure!
We got a preview of the the ride marquee, as you can see in the pic above, which will hang on the Chinese Theatre when the attraction opens. Then we got a chance to see what the ride vehicles will look like as you can see below. On the left in normal lighting and on the right in black lighting.
One you make it inside past the marquee, the pre-show are will feature a brand new Mickey Mouse animated short called “Perfect Picnic.”
Goofy will be driving the train once you make it on the ride and one of the most interesting take aways from todays press event is that the whistle that will be heard in Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway will be the actual whistle used from 1928’s “Steamboat Willie.”
On Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, you’ll step through the movie screen and join Mickey and his friends like never before. The attraction will put you inside the wacky and unpredictable world of a Mickey Mouse Cartoon Short where you’re the star and anything can happen. This zany out-of-control adventure features surprising twists and turns, dazzling visual effects and mind-boggling transformations that happen before your very eyes.
The teams helping create the attraction are currently working with partners at Disney Television Animation—the people who create the popular and award-winning Mickey Shorts – to keep the characters and story authentic and to make sure you’re able to step through the movie screen and join Mickey and his friends like never before.
Oh boy! Friday, Disney announced that the first major Mickey Mouse-themed ride-through attraction, called Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, is coming to Disneyland park.
On this new attraction, guests step through the movie screen and join Mickey and friends on a railway adventure as they take part in the wacky and unpredictable world of a Mickey Mouse Cartoon Short.
Once you step into the cartoon world of Mickey and Minnie, you’ll board a train with Goofy as the engineer. Then, one magical moment after the next leads you to a zany, out-of-control adventure filled with surprising twists and turns.

With an original story and lovable theme song, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway uses state-of-the-art technologies and dazzling visual effects to transform the cartoon world into an incredible and immersive multi-dimensional experience.
The spectacular magic of Disney animation and music will soon come to life in the 3D movie musical “Mickey’s PhilharMagic” at Disney California Adventure park.
Premiering in April at the Sunset Showcase Theater in Hollywood Land, Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and other favorite Disney characters take the stage in this 3D fantasy adventure.
As Donald prepares the orchestra for Mickey, he comes across the conductor’s baton and Mickey’s Sorcerer’s Hat. A little magic goes a long way and proceedings go awry! Donald is unexpectedly plunged into a 3D dream world and you’re taken along for the ride. The experience will sweep you away into the fantastic world of classic Disney animated musical sequences—from “Beauty and the Beast” and “The Little Mermaid,” to “Peter Pan” and “Aladdin.”
Mickey already turned 90, but Disney Parks is celebrating all year long and even the merchandise at Epcot celebrates the mouse. A Mickey Mouse shaped, Spaceship Earth inspired sipper has made its way to Disney Parks.
Mickey already has a sipper of his own, but this Epcot themed sipper also pays homage to everyone’s favorite pal as well as the classic Epcot attraction.
The sipper retails for $16.99 and can be found in Mouse Gear at Epcot in Walt Disney World.
