Cult Classic ‘Dinosaurs’ TV Show Coming To Disney Plus This Fall

The hit cult classic sitcom from the ’90s, Dinosaurs, has just been announced as a fall addition to Disney+

This show follows the life of a family of dinosaurs, living in a modern world. They have televisions, refrigerators, et cetera. The only humans around are cavemen, who are viewed as pets and wild animals.

The show consists of 65 episodes and the idea of the show was created by Jim Henson, who also created the Muppets, however he sadly passed away before the show made it to our screens.

The show was previously available on Hulu, but isn’t currently available on any streaming platforms to watch, although it can still be bought on platforms such as Amazon.

The show will make it’s way to Disney+ this fall, but no release date has been confirmed, according to whatsondisneyplus.com.

  • Petition Calls for Splash Mountain to be Re-themed to ‘Princess and the Frog’

Petition Calls for Splash Mountain to be Re-themed to ‘Princess and the Frog’

Fans are calling on Disney parks to re-theme its popular Splash Mountain ride based on a nearly 75-year-old movie that has long been criticized for racist themes.

A petition posted on Change.org asks Disney to remove all references to its 1946 film “Song of the South” from Splash Mountain.

The petition says the movie “steeped in extremely problematic and stereotypical racist tropes.” The petition suggests Disney should re-theme the ride around “Princess and the Frog.” Tiana, the main character in the film, is recognized for being Disney’s first African-American princess.

The petition had more than 8,000 signatures as of Thursday morning. The petition’s current goal is set at 10,000 signatures.

Disney has been distancing themselves from the movie for quite sometime now. The movie, set on a plantation after the Civil War, is not included on the new streaming service Disney Plus. And former Walt Disney CEO Bob Iger, now executive chairman, says it won’t ever be.

“I’ve felt as long as I’ve been CEO that ‘Song of the South’ — even with a disclaimer — was just not appropriate in today’s world,” Iger said in March during a shareholder meeting. “It’s just hard, given the depictions in some of those films, to bring them out today without in some form or another offending people, so we’ve decided not to do that.”

The call for change comes as the country continues to hold discussions surrounding racial injustice in the wake of George Floyd’s death in Minneapolis police custody.

  • Disneyland Resort Proposes Plans to Begin Phased Reopening July 9, with Proposed Reopening of Theme Parks July 17

Disneyland Resort Proposes Plans to Begin Phased Reopening July 9, with Proposed Reopening of Theme Parks July 17

Sixty-five years to the date after the historic opening of Disneyland park, Disney is planning to open their theme park gates once again on July 17, 2020, welcoming guests back to the Disneyland Resort.

Disney Parks, Experiences and Products has announced proposed plans for a phased reopening of the Disneyland Resort. Pending state and local government approvals, Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel plan to reopen on July 23, and Disneyland park and Disney California Adventure park will plan to reopen on July 17. Additionally, Downtown Disney District will begin reopening on July 9.

Because theme park capacity will be significantly limited to comply with governmental requirements and promote physical distancing, the Disneyland Resort will manage attendance through a new theme park reservation system that will require all guests, including Annual Passholders, to obtain a reservation for park entry in advance. Theme park reservations will be subject to availability. More details about this new reservation system will be available soon. At this time, there will also be a temporary pause on new ticket sales and Annual Passport sales and renewals.

Once approved, the Disneyland Resort will reopen with enhanced health and safety measures. In addition, a Guest Experience Team will be available throughout the parks and Downtown Disney District to assist guests with questions regarding these new policies.

Certain experiences that draw large group gatherings – such as parades and nighttime spectaculars – will return at a later date. While character meet and greets will be temporarily unavailable, characters will be in the parks in new ways to entertain and delight guests.

Pending governmental approval, Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel and Disney Vacation Club Villas at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa are planned to reopen to guests and members starting on July 23. Plans to support physical distancing as well as increased cleaning measures, along with a number of other health and safety protocols, will be implemented as part of the phased reopening of the hotels and the Vacation Club.

Downtown Disney District will begin reopening on July 9 in line with the state’s reopening guidelines, with its unique variety of shopping and dining experiences, including the flagship World of Disney store. With the health of guests and Disney cast members at the forefront of planning, several operational changes will be implemented based on guidance from health authorities to promote physical distancing and cleanliness throughout the Downtown Disney District.

Additional information on enhanced health and safety measures and operational changes for reopening locations will be shared soon. These policies are under continuous review and are subject to change as the Disneyland Resort monitors conditions and receives guidance from health and government authorities.

Disneyland holds a special place in the hearts of people around the world. It was created as a place where family members of all ages could have fun together – a place to “leave today and enter the world of yesterday, tomorrow and fantasy.” Sixty-five years later it still is.

Disney’s ‘Once Upon A Vine’ Wines are Now Available Online are Making a Buzz

If your jonesing for a Taste of Disney before the big reopening date then we have great new for you. Once Upon A Vine is a line of wines you can typically find on property at Disney World and now they are available to be purchased online!

You can typically buy at Mickey’s Pantry in Disney Springs and you can now find them online at TheBestWineStore.com.

There are three different types of Once Upon A Vine wines available online. Take a look at the options below:

First up is The Lost Slipper Sauvignon Blanc, which is flavored with tropical fruits in mind. Each sip gives way to passion fruit, guava, and pineapple, the description reads. This wine is best paired with white meats like chicken or poultry and fish. If you prefer red wine, The Big Bad Red Blend has berry and plum in the flavor profile and is great for pairing with beef or lamb. Finally, A Charming Pinot is the ideal medium-bodied bottle to go with herby roasted meats.

All three bottles are typically around $13, but The Best Wine Store is currently offering them at just $11. That means a bundle of all three comes out to right around $33 before tax or shipping.

Each bottle’s label depicts its name perfectly, with a glass slipper falling off a foot, a wolf hiding behind trees, or a vibrant crown. These wines are a sophisticated way to show off how much you love Disney, and paired with Mickey-shaped cheese boards and princess dishes, an entire themed dinner seems inevitable.
