First Look: New Concept Art of Disney H2O Glow Nights

Disney recently shared the news about the coolest nighttime water park event coming to Walt Disney World – Disney H2O Glow Nights at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park and now we are getting a look at an artist rendering inspired by this new nighttime party that will allow guests to experience the water park in a whole new light.

With glowing beach balls, inner tubes and other lighting effects, Disney H2O Glow Nights is a rare opportunity for guests to experience Typhoon Lagoon under the moonlight. On select nights beginning June 21, Typhoon Lagoon becomes a luminous, nighttime hotspot featuring a DJ Dance Party on the beach, plus special character meetings with Buzz, Woody and Jessie from Pixar’s “Toy Story,” as they visit Typhoon Lagoon for the first time. And let’s not forget about our host, Partysaurus Rex, who is inviting guests to this one-of-a-kind experience.

Guests can also play party games, try unique food and beverage treats and enjoy all attractions at the water park with minimal wait times, including Crush ‘n’ Gusher, a thrilling water coaster and Miss Adventure Falls, the newest attraction at Typhoon Lagoon.

While the kids are splashing about, adults can visit The Wharf. This adults-only oasis is unique to Disney H2O Glow Nights and is only available when Typhoon Lagoon transforms at nightfall.

Special Appearances And Merchandise Coming to Star Wars: Galactic Nights
Star Wars: Galactic Nights, a one-night special event, will return to Disney’s Hollywood Studios on May 27.

In case you aren’t familiar, Star Wars: Galactic Nights is a thrilling Star Wars-themed event held after park hours from 7 p.m.-midnight. It will celebrate the entire Star Wars saga – including the release of the new film Solo: A Star Wars Story – with out-of-this-world entertainment, special photo opportunities, event-exclusive merchandise and food and beverages, and encounters with rarely seen characters that guests can only experience during Star Wars: Galactic Nights.

This week we’re sharing a sneak peek at a few of the exclusive merchandise opportunities guests will be able to enjoy at the event.
- Appearance by Actor Ashley Eckstein (voice of Ahsoka Tano) – Ashley is known to Star Wars fans as the voice of Ahsoka Tano, but she’s also known as the person behind the company responsible for filling fandom’s closets and wardrobes with stylish apparel and accessories. Ashley will appear at the event in the Once Upon a Time gift shop with an assortment of her merchandise. She will also sign her new book, “IT’S YOUR UNIVERSE,” in which Ashley shares her life lessons, as well as lessons from iconic Disney characters, as a way to inspire girls to create big dreams and work to make them a reality. The book will be released May 8.
  - A wristband is required to meet Ashley and will be distributed with purchase at the signing location on the day of the event.
  - Merchandise available while supplies last.
- Shop Skywalker Vineyards – Stop by Launch Bay Cargo to meet Tom Johnson, the General Manager of Skywalker Vineyards. Tom will be available to sign your purchased wine or olive oil bottles from 7 p.m.-midnight (intermittently).
- Shop For Exclusive Star Wars: Galactic Nights Merchandise – Limited-edition event-exclusive merchandise will be available featuring art from the upcoming movie Solo: A Star Wars Story, including a T-shirt, stainless steel water bottle and pin.
- Grab a Solo: A Star Wars Story Droid Factory Set – Stop into Tatooine Traders to purchase this set of Droid Factory action figures which includes the newest Astromechs – R2-F1P, R5-232, R2-S8 and R5-PHT – featured in Solo: A Star Wars Story.

New ‘Disney After Hours’ Dates Now Available for Magic Kingdom Park
Cant get enough time in the parks? You’re not alone! Everyone wants to spend a little extra time in the magic when they can and luckily today, Disney has just announced dates and times for “Disney After Hours“.

“Disney After Hours” is a ticketed event that is limited to a small number of guests. At Magic Kingdom Park that means little to no wait at 25 plus attractions and experiences. That includes favorites like Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Under the Sea ~ Journey of The Little Mermaid, Space Mountain and many more. Oh, and get this: the ticket allows park entry as early as 7 p.m., which gives you time to enjoy the fireworks before heading off to the attractions. Yeah, it’s really that awesome!

Disneyland After Dark Announces Second Star Wars-Themed Celebration on May 9
Exciting news Star Wars fans! Due to unprecedented demand for the Disneyland After Dark – Star Wars Nite event Disney has added a second celebration of Star Wars on May 9!

Guests at this after-hours event will once again have special access to Disneyland park to celebrate a galaxy far, far away. You’re also encouraged to come dressed in favorite Star Wars attire!

This next Star Wars-themed celebration will give you a chance to experience many of the same offerings from the first Star Wars Nite event, including:
- After-hours access to Disneyland park, with mix-in access beginning at 6 p.m.
- Special entertainment, including a galactic dance party and character encounters!
- Themed décor and immersive Star Wars-themed photo opportunities.
- Specialty food and beverage offerings.
- Commemorative lanyard, event credential and unlimited downloads of Disney PhotoPass photos taken during the event.
Additionally, they will be adding new experiences for this second celebration of Star Wars, which will include:
- - Opportunity to be among the first to purchase Solo: A Star Wars Story pins (quantities are limited).
  - An additional Star Wars-themed photo opportunity.
  - Acme Archives Limited artist showcase and signing.
  - Book signing for “It’s Your Universe” (quantities are limited).
As a reminder, beginning May 4, all Disneyland park guests will be able to enjoy these new and returning Star Wars experiences:
- “March of First Order” – Captain Phasma guides a squad of First Order stormtroopers through Tomorrowland in a dramatic show of force.
- Encounter Rey – Meet the Resistance’s newest hero at Star Wars Launch Bay.
- Hyperspace Mountain – This popular transformation of Space Mountain returns!

‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’ Celebration at Star Wars: Galactic Nights on May 27

The release of Solo: A Star Wars Story is less than two months away and at Disney Parks there’s no better way to celebrate the release of the film than to follow-up a showing by attending the Star Wars: Galactic Nights special event at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on May 27. You won’t want to miss the celebration as this one comes with a special celebrity appearance from one of the films actors.

In case you aren’t familiar, Star Wars: Galactic Nights is a thrilling Star Wars-themed event held after park hours from 7 p.m.-midnight. It will celebrate the entire Star Wars saga – including the latest film – with out-of-this-world entertainment, special photo opportunities, event-exclusive merchandise and F&B, and encounters with rarely seen characters that guests can only experience during Star Wars: Galactic Nights.

Today, we learned new details on how the May 27th event will feature exclusive “Solo: A Star Wars Story”-inspired content.

First up, actor Joonas Suotamo who plays Chewbacca in “Solo: A Star Wars Story,” will make a special appearance at the event. The event’s Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away presentation will debut some new video moments from “Solo: A Star Wars Story.” And the park’s nighttime projection show, Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular, will debut a new action sequence from the film.

In addition, guests will also be able to shop for event-exclusive merchandise from the film, taste a Star Wars-themed cupcake with a glowing Millennium Falcon, snap pics with Chewbacca, and more.

8 Things You Need to Know About This Year’s Star Wars: Galactic Nights
Star Wars: Galactic Nights, the one-night special event, will return to Disney’s Hollywood Studios on May 27.

In case you aren’t familiar, Star Wars: Galactic Nights is a thrilling Star Wars-themed event held after park hours from 7 p.m.-midnight. It celebrates the entire Star Wars saga with out-of-this-world entertainment, special photo opportunities, event-exclusive merchandise and F&B, and encounters with rarely seen characters that guests can only experience during Star Wars: Galactic Nights.

Here’s what you’ll find this year:
- The event-exclusive projection show, Star Wars: Galactic Destinations, will debut a new, surprise planet. Keep your eyes open!
- New talent from the Star Wars galaxy will make a special appearance during the event.
- Guests can meet an array of legendary Star Wars characters, many who are available only during Star Wars: Galactic Nights, including Rey, Captain Phasma, the 7th Sister, AWR Stormtroopers, Darth Vader and even EWOKS.

Catch The Headless Horseman at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground

If you’re a brave soul who can’t get enough of the Headless Horseman, the “Return to Sleepy Hollow” offering at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground may be perfect idea for you want to get another look at him after his annual appearance at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom Park before “Mickey’s Boo To You” parade.

Disney just announced that the “Return to Sleepy Hollow” offering is coming back this fall at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and is available for booking.

“Return to Sleepy Hollow” includes a group viewing of the 1949 Disney animated classic film “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” inside the resort’s historic Tri-Circle-D Ranch stables. And during event nights, you’ll be able to see galloping ghosts and experience an up close and personal encounter with the Headless Horseman.

The “Return to Sleepy Hollow” begins on September 28 at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground: September 28-30, October 3-7, October 10-14, 17-21, 24-31 at 8 and 10 p.m.

Also, new this year, Disney is offering a dessert party at 9 p.m. after the movie if you’re viewing the 8 p.m. show or prior to the movie if you’re viewing the later show.

General seating costs $22 per person, while premium seating, which includes a priority photo opportunity with the Headless Horseman and a Halloween treat bag, costs $38 per person. And the dessert party at 9 p.m. costs $60 per person.

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom Tickets Now On Sale
Last Week Disney announced the dates and details for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party which will transform Magic Kingdom Park for a sweet 34 nights.

So polish those pumpkins and plan your costume! Mickey’s annual Halloween spook-tacular promises a frightfully fun evening filled with trick-or-treat thrills ‘n’ chills at Magic Kingdom park.

Rock The Dots With Minnie Mouse Send-Off Celebration at Disney Parks

Minnie Mouse is finally getting the recognition she deserves as she will soon be honored with her very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. To celebrate, Disney Springs in Florida and Downtown Disney District in California will once again host a special event to honor Minnie’s iconic polka dot infused style where you too can ‘Rock the Dots’!

Taking place the day prior to National Polka Dot Day, on Sunday, January 21, guests will be invited to participate in a variety of fun offerings where you can rock your dots!

Minnie will receive the star during a special unveiling ceremony on Monday, January 22 – but before she leaves on her grand Hollywood adventure, we’re going to give her a special send-off live from Disney’s Hollywood Studios here in Florida this Sunday, January 21 at 1 p.m. ET! Minnie hopes to see as many guests as possible dressed in her signature red, white and black polka dots at the park that day!

Commemorative buttons will be given out at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney Springs at Walt Disney World Resort and Downtown Disney at Disneyland Resort while supplies last.

Here is what you can expect when you rock the dots:

IN FLORIDA:
Guests can discover over fifteen retail offers from Jan 18 – Jan 22, including savings at American Threads, Basin, Arribas Brothers, JOHNNY WAS, Luxury of Time by Diamonds International, Sperry, Sugarboo & Co. and Volcom. At Alex and Ani, the first 100 guests each day will receive a free gift along with daily in-store surprises. At Coach, a free gift with any purchase is in the bag for all event guests. M.A.C. Cosmetics is also participating with a complimentary “mini” Minnie-inspired demo. A handful of food and beverage locations (Blaze Fast Fire’d Pizza, Joffrey’s Coffee and Tea, Paddlefish, D-Luxe Burger, The Ganachery and Sprinkles) will feature discounts and/or Minnie-themed products as well, so bring your appetite, too.

On January 21, the main event showcases a DJ Dance Party in the heart of Town Center from 1 – 6 p.m. where Minnie Mouse will make frequent appearances. I’ve been told to expect a few wardrobe changes, and can’t wait to see which of her many signature looks she’ll sport. Keep an eye out for a photo backdrop sponsored by PANDORA Jewelry; Disney PhotoPass photographers will be on site to capture the moment with fun props and frames to ensure you strike your most stylish pose. If you want to start the party early, Paddlefish will offer a “polka dot brunch” from 12 – 3 p.m. that infuses a bit of pampering to the meal: complimentary hand massages from L’Occitane and make-up applications from Sephora are on the menu.

IN CALIFORNIA:
Guests at Downtown Disney District in California can also look forward to Minnie Mouse-inspired activations throughout the day on Sunday, January 21. Shoppers will be treated to polka dot and event specific product, including exclusive Minnie Rocks the Dots product at World of Disney, Minnie Mouse-inspired makeovers at Sephora, and polka dot TOMS shoes at Curl Surf. For foodies, adorable Minnie Mouse specialty apples have been created, the popular polka dot milkshake makes a return visit at Uva Bar, and fun polka dot pepperoni pizzas are available at Wetzel’s Pretzels. That’s just a small sampling of what’s in store. You’ll want to pick up a brochure starting January 18, 2018 for full discount and product details.

A DJ Dance Party will keep thing rockin’ in Downtown Disney District on January 21 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on the Downtown Disney LIVE! stage. As in Florida, PANDORA Jewelry has also sponsored a photo opportunity with Disney PhotoPass photographers on site to capture the moment with fun props and frames.
