Find Your Favorite Characters During Pixar Pals Dance Party During at Disneyland

The first-ever Pixar Fest is taking place all across the Disneyland Resort, bringing the playful spirit of Pixar to life in a celebration of friendship and beyond, and you can join some of your favorite characters at Pixar Pals Dance Party at Disneyland Park.

Each evening, you’re invited to drop in at Tomorrowland Terrace in Disneyland park for the Pixar Pals Dance Party. Hit the dance floor, as a DJ keeps things hopping, and you never know who may stop by! You could find yourself groovin’ alongside Mike and Sulley from “Monsters, Inc.,” Woody and Jessie from “Toy Story,” or even some Green Army Men getting a little R&R. The party gets going nightly at 7 p.m. and continues through 10:30 p.m.

With the Pixar Pals Dance Party, “Pixar Play Parade,” “Paint the Night” parade, “Together Forever – A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular” and so much more, you’ll want to check out everything going on during Pixar Fest, now through September 3 at Disneyland Resort!

Japan Airlines Launches New Disney-Themed Boeing 767

Japan Airlines Co. on Friday commenced flights of a passenger jet featuring Mickey Mouse and other Disney characters in commemoration of the 35th anniversary of the opening of Tokyo Disney Resort.

Minnie Mouse and Donald Duck also feature on the exterior of the 252-seat Boeing 767-300ER, with beverages served to passengers in Disney paper cups.

The special aircraft will only fly on domestic routes. The first flight bound for Fukuoka took off from Tokyo’s Haneda airport shortly after noon. It is the first time since 2015 that JAL has operated a Disney-themed plane.

Yuji Akasaka, JAL president, said he was satisfied with the way the plane looks and wants to further celebrate the 35th anniversary of the amusement park.

Kyoichiro Uenishi, head of Oriental Land Co., which operates Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, said he was happy that the design on the aircraft was “highly colorful.”

JAL has been an official sponsor of Tokyo Disney Resort since its opening in 1983. In 2015, the airline introduced four passenger planes featuring Duffy the Disney Bear.

Star-Lord and Gamora To Host ‘Guardians of the Galaxy – Awesome Mix Live!’ at Epcot
As a part of Walt Disney World’s “Incredible Summer,” Star-Lord and Gamora from Guardians of the Galaxy will take guests on a musical journey through the cosmos in “Guardians of the Galaxy – Awesome Mix Live!” at the America Gardens Theatre at Epcot.

Guests can catch “Guardians of the Galaxy – Awesome Mix Live!” five times a day from June 9 through August 19. It is included with theme park admission and is part of Walt Disney World’s lineup of “Incredible Summer” offerings. Check out the list of blog posts below for more Incredible Summer fun.

Pixar Fest Begins Today at the Disneyland Resort

The first-ever Pixar Fest begins today at the Disneyland Resort, bringing the playful spirit of Pixar to life!

Through September 3, you can celebrate beloved Pixar characters and stories in new and exciting ways. Pixar Fest is the first-ever Pixar celebration to come to Disney Parks, bringing guests together to celebrate friendship and beyond!

In Disneyland park, an all-new fireworks spectacular will take guests on an emotional journey through Pixar stories, as they illuminate the skies and streets in “Together Forever – A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular.”

Beloved Pixar friends will roll down Main Street, U.S.A. in the popular Pixar Play Parade, which will also feature three new parade story elements. One popular Pixar story coming to Pixar Play Parade is “Inside Out.” Perched atop colorful memory orbs, Joy and Sadness take flight aboard Bing Bong’s rocket wagon, with Bing Bong himself cheering them on!

The electric “Paint the Night” parade will return, making its Disney California Adventure park debut with brilliant lights and catchy tunes.

Pixar Fest will also feature many limited-time experiences throughout the Disneyland Resort, including live entertainment, delicious treats, themed merchandise and more! Here’s a look at the festivities:

New Character Experience Coming To Walt Disney World

If you love meeting characters then you probably already know that meeting them during your dining experience is not only more convenient than waiting in line, but it also comes with food! Well now there is a new character coming to the party over at Minnie’s Beach Bash Breakfast at Cape May Café.

Located at Disney’s Beach Club Resort, Minnie’s Beach Bash Breakfast will be welcoming a new friend! Daisy Duck has now joined Minnie and her friends for this fun character dining experience.

This character dining experience includes a full breakfast buffet complete with Mickey waffles, scrambled eggs, seasoned potatoes, and much more.

Pixar Characters will Greet Guests in Toy Story Land at Disney World Resort

Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is set open to guests on June 30 and Disney has just announced some more exciting experiences that guests will find when it opens to the public. There are so many things this land has to offer that it is truly the toy box of your childhood dreams and Disney has revealed that guests will be able to meet their favorite Pixar characters right in Andy’s Backyard.

Inside this new land, you’ll have the chance to encounter characters from Disney•Pixar “Toy Story” films, including Sheriff Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and Jessie the Yodeling Cowgirl.

Woody, Buzz and Jessie will be greeting guests throughout Toy Story Land on a daily basis. And each character (along with the rest of the gang) will be joining in on the fun in a land where guests “shrink” to the size of a toy. Guests will be also be able to take a ride on Slinky Dog Dash, a roller coaster Andy has assembled from his Mega Coaster Play Kit, or take a spin on Alien Swirling Saucers, a galactic play set that Andy won at Pizza Planet.

Toy Story Land guests can also walk through a new carnival game box to experience Toy Story Mania!, which has been a guest-favorite attraction at the park since it opened in 2008. Now expanded with a third track, the popular attraction will allow even more guests to take aim at 3D objects – using everything from baseballs to cream pies – in a variety of whimsical, fast-paced games.

Reservations Now Open for Pixar Play Zone at Disney’s Contemporary Resort

This April Disney’s Contemporary Resort will introduce a brand-new, playful and immersive Pixar character experience for kids ages 4-12 as part of a pilot program. Starting today, the reservation lines are officially open!

The little ones will be transported to a world full of excitement and adventure with their favorite characters from Disney•Pixar’s “Toy Story” and “The Incredibles”!

It all kicks off with Space Ranger Training where kids will learn how to identify and battle enemies of the Star Command. Then, Woody and Jessie will show them the ropes of the Wild West during Woody’s Roundup. During the Piston Cup Challenge, youngsters will be able to build a race car, then race it on the Radiator Springs Racetrack. And finally, kids will learn some sweet dance moves during the Incredible Dance Party with Mr. Incredible and Mrs. Incredible. What else is on the menu? Games, dinner and dessert, of course!

The nightly getaway for kids will open doors for registration at 5 p.m. and programming will run from 6-10:30 p.m. for a fee of $65 per child (plus tax). Children must be fully toilet-trained.

While the kids play, parents can enjoy their own getaway throughout Walt Disney World Resort.

Be Our Guest Restaurant Will Now Cost Two Table Service Credits On Disney Dining Plan

Earlier Disney announced that Be Our Guest Restaurant will be offering a new enhanced prix fixe dinner menu that includes new offerings including a variety of French-inspired dishes. Now online reports indicate that dinner will have new pricing plan for the three course meal and it will now cost two table service credits for those on the Disney Dining Plan.

Pricing will be $55 for adults and $35 for children, or two Disney Dining Plan credits according to a report by WDWMagic. This puts the dining experience in line with signature dining locations and even some character dining experiences.

The change will take place when the new menu goes into effect on July 27th. Guests were concerned when online reports noticed that reservations for July were not available, but we know now why. This exciting new menu was a good reason for the booking interruption and Disney will be creating a new children’s menu as well to be released at a later date.

Be Our Guest Restaurant is an expansive and elegant 550-seat dining destination located at the foot of Beast’s Castle in Fantasyland. Whether you are enjoying a quick-service breakfast or lunch, or the stately elegance of a table-service dinner

There have been reports that Belle will be joining Beast during the experience, but now there is speculation that Disney may even add more characters, but there has yet to be an official announcement on that.

Reservations are once again available again from July 27 and beyond and you can begin booking your advanced dining reservations starting this Friday, February 23rd.

Black Panther Now Appearing at Disney California Adventure Park

Now at Disney California Adventure park, guests can welcome the king of Wakanda! For this limited-time experience, Black Panther will arrive in the Hollywood Backlot area of the park flanked by his Royal Guards, the Dora Milaje.

Marvel Studios’ record-breaking hit, “Black Panther” follows T’Challa who, after the death of his father, the King of Wakanda, returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation to succeed to the throne and take his rightful place as king. But when a powerful old enemy reappears, T’Challa’s mettle as king — and Black Panther — is tested when he is drawn into a formidable conflict that puts the fate of Wakanda and the entire world at risk.

Star Wars: Galactic Nights Complete Guide
Star Wars: Galactic Nights is back and guest are going to love the new additions. Held after park hours on December 16th from 7 p.m. to midnight at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the event immerses guests in a Star Experience like no other. Here is a rundown on what you can expect:

ENTERTAINMENT

Experiences available only during this special event:
- Star Wars: Galactic Destinations – State-of-the-art projections shoot across the Hollywood Tower Hotel to display favorite film moments from across the galaxy accompanied by the stellar Star Wars cinematic score. Star Wars: Galactic Destinations will run continuously beginning at 7 p.m
- Inside Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge (Epic Stunt Theater – 8:10 p.m., 9:10 p.m., 10:10 p.m. and 11:10 p.m.) – During this one-night-only panel discussion, hosted by David Collins, expert panel of team members from Walt Disney Imagineering and Lucasfilm will give Guests an inside look at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
- Galactic Nights Epilogue (Rebel Base – 11:40 p.m.) – Prior to Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular, Guests are invited to join event hosts as they marvel at a spotlight of Star Wars: Galactic Nights event highlights straight from the fans themselves! To be a part of the Galactic Nights Epilogue, Guests should tag their photos with #GalacticNights when sharing on social media.
- DJ Dance Party (Rebel Base – Intermittently 7 p.m. to midnight) – Guests can dance the night away in a galaxy far, far away!
- Imperial March (Park entrance to Rebel Base – 7:05 p.m., 8:05 p.m., 9:05 p.m., 9:55 p.m.) – Join a battalion of Stormtroopers on a dramatic march down Hollywood Blvd to the Event Stage, where Darth Vader will meet his troops.
- Droidbuilders (Animation Courtyard – 7 p.m. to midnight) – Encourage Guests to keep an eye out for roaming R2 Builders droids! R2 Builders is an international community of Star Wars fans who build their own replica robots of the recognizable droids from the Star Wars galaxy.
Star Wars experiences also available during the event:
- Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away (Rebel Base – 7:30 p.m., 8:30 p.m., 9:30 p.m. and 10:20 p.m.) – Guest are able to experience a live stage show of high energy film clips that bring together action-filled character moments on stage, including Rey, Chewbacca, Darth Vader, Kylo Ren and many more.
- Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular (Rebel Base – 11:45 p.m.) – The skies will come alive with the power of the Force, as the park’s popular Star Wars-themed nighttime spectacular lights up the night.
- Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple (Near Star Tours – The Adventures Continue – 6:10 p.m., 6:40 p.m., 7:15 p.m., 7:45 p.m., 8:15 p.m., 8:45 p.m., 9:15 p.m., 9:45 p.m., 10:15 p.m.) – Guests can witness the future of the Force, as younglings face their fears at the sacred Jedi Temple. Guests can visit Indiana Jones Adventure Outpost to reserve a spot in the training for young Guests ages 4-12. Space is first-come, first-serve and limited.

This year, event Guests can choose a variety of options to enhance their galactic experience:
1. Galactic Tasting & Viewing Package – Guests are able to enhance their Star Wars: Galactic Nights experience with a Galactic Tasting and Viewing Package. Tasting-sized sips and bites inspired by the stories and characters of Star Wars will be available at various locations throughout the park. With the Galactic Tasting and Viewing Package, Guests can enjoy up to five food & beverage items as well as reserved seating for the 9:10 p.m. or 10:10 p.m. Inside Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge panel. The Galactic Tasting and Viewing Package is available for purchase for $30 (plus tax) near Rebel Base and Sunshine Day Café. Food and beverage items included in this package are marked in the event passport as well as at each food & beverage location.
2. Jedi Recruitment Package – Guests are able to equip their youngling with the necessary tools and tips to defeat the Dark Side at Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple. Check-in for the Jedi Recruitment package is located at Ewok Village (external queue of Star Tours).
3. Galactic Character Couture Packages – Disney Senses Spa will be onsite at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, offering Guests hair, makeup and nails transformations with stylish designs inspired by Star Wars characters. Located inside Legends of Hollywood, appointments are available via walk-ins on a first-come, first-serve basis.
