FIRST LOOK: Brand New Merchandise Debuting at the New World of Disney

As we previously reported, World of Disney in Disney Spring has been undergoing a major remodel this year. It’s finally open and yesterday we got a Sneak Peek at all the new changes!

World owf Disney is the flagship retail destination featuring the world’s largest collection of Disney theme merchandise; and the remodel fits in perfectly with the 1930’s American Craftsman style in this section of Disney Springs.

The separate, disjointed room of the old store have all been opened up to create a better flow, with wide open walkways for guests. The new World of Disney now feels more like an upscale department store.

The new Mouseketeer Collection also debuted yesterday at World of Disney. This brand new collection has just the right amount of vintage nostalgia mixed with updated styles and fabrics. A Disney merchandise spokesman told me that this line will probably make its way to the parks in November 2018.

Christmas merchandise was also on display! Many of this years designs feature a ‘Nordic Christmas’ pattern, which is carried out on pajamas, apparel, pillows, and other family friendly items. The second holiday collection is ‘Turn of the Century’, which focuses on items like signs, ornaments, and some home goods like soup mugs, and plates.

Disney Springs Resort Area Hotels Offering Special “Magic of Fall” Rates from August 20-October 31
There is so much going on at Walt Disney World Resort that you won’t want to miss out on and there is still time to make plans to experience all the special events this summer and fall! Chicken Guy! Has Officially Opened at Disney Springs

A brand-new eatery just hatch at Disney Springs last Friday! Chicken Guy! is a quick-service restaurant created by celebrity chef Guy Fieri and restauranteur Robert Earl.

These two most recently collaborated on the new burger and sandwich menu at Planet Hollywood and came together once again to create an all-new concept that features one-of-a-kind all-natural fresh chicken tenders.

Chicken Guy! is a fast-casual chain dedicated to serving delicious, succulent chicken tenders paired with a wide variety of flavorful sauces meant to please all palates.

The menu at Chicken Guy! will feature one-of-a-kind all-natural fresh chicken tenders, hand-pounded to maximize crunch and paired with a wide selection of delicious sauces. Brined in fresh lemon juice, pickle brine and buttermilk, and infused with fresh herbs, these tenders deliver on flavor and texture. The 4R Cantina Barbacoa Food Truck Is Coming To Disney Springs

The award-winning 4R Restaurant Group will launch its newest concept in late August with the opening of its 4R Cantina Barbacoa Food Truck located in the Marketplace at Disney Springs.

The eatery will debut a variety of new signature dishes, including a Taco Cone and Burrito Bowl filled with choice of meats such as Brisket Barbacoa or Pork Sofrito.

The 4R Cantina Barbacoa Food Truck will also offer standout vegetarian options like the Squash Blossom Burrito. Additionally, decadent desserts such as Dulce De Leche Churro Balls will be available.

“It’s an honor to open the 4R Cantina Barbacoa Food Truck at Disney Springs in the company of so many talented chefs and award-winning restaurants,” said John Rivers, 4R Restaurant Group Founder and CEO. “Our first-ever daily 4R offering at Disney Springs will provide an opportunity for tourists to savor an authentic local brand. Disney Villains Collection From Alex and Ani Coming To Disney Parks

The Alex and Ani Disney collection is getting a little more devious. A new set of bangles inspired by Disney Villains is coming to Disney Parks and they are absolute fire!

This cruel new set which features four of the most evil Disney villains, will make their debut at Ever After Jewelry Co. & Accessories in Disney Springs during the Alex & Ani Jewelry Showcase and normally I would say they are “totes adorbs,” but these are just plain wickedly cool!

Disney Sued By Dog Trainer Who Brings Service Dogs to Parks

Disney is being sued by a dog trainer who brings service dogs to the parks. If you’ve been to Disney Parks, then you’ve probably seen plenty of service dogs as many trainers bring them to the parks to expose them to crowds. One trainer however, has filed a lawsuit in Orlando federal court this week alleging discrimination and retaliation by Walt Disney Parks and Resort.

Susan Grill claims that the cast members, Disney security, and managers harass her when she brings her dogs to the parks. Grill, who has epilepsy and migraines filed a complaint in May 2017 with the Florida Commission on Human Rights, and she believes Disney is retaliating against her for filing it, the lawsuit said.

Disney allows service animals — a dog or a miniature horse trained to help their owners with disabilities, according to Disney’s definition — at most places within its Orlando theme parks and hotels, according to its website.

“This person’s complaints were already reviewed by the Florida Commission on Human Rights, which found that no unlawful practice occurred,” a Disney spokeswoman said in a statement.

According to the lawsuit, in February 2017, Grill took a stroll around Disney Springs with three poodles. Grill often trains her dogs at Disney to adjust them to crowds. “All three were well-behaved and were wearing clearly labeled gear identifying them as ‘service dogs,’” the lawsuit said.

Two Disney security guards stopped her and told her she could not train her dogs on Disney property, the suit said. An Orange County deputy sheriff who also approached her demanded to see the dogs’ certification papers and said the poodles were “fake,” the suit says.

Disney security told Grill she couldn’t leave until their case was closed — which made her feel intimidated, she said in the lawsuit. A Disney Springs manager allowed Grill to stay but warned she was forbidden from returning with the dogs. Grill tried to argue, and the manager told her to leave immediately, the lawsuit said.

The lawsuit alleged Disney’s head of security told Grill “…If she did not want people to grab her service dog and scream curse words at her, then she should not bring her service dog to the Disney Parks,” the lawsuit said.
