All the Sweet Treats Coming to Disneyland this Holiday Season

The holiday season is in full swing at Disneyland Resort and if you love candy, especially during the holiday season, then take at look at all the delicious delights you’ll find in the parks.

The talented Disneyland candy makers have been busy as elves creating sweet treats that are almost too adorable to eat. These confections are available now through Jan. 9, 2022, at the following locations:

    • Candy Palace and Candy Kitchen at Disneyland park

You can satisfy your sweet tooth and save time in line when you use the mobile order* service on the Disneyland app at all these candy locations!

It’s the holidays. Treat yourself, and be that kid in a candy store!

Snowflake Apple – Granny Smith apple dipped in caramel and white chocolate decorated with blue sanding sugar

Peppermint Marshmallow Pop – Mickey-shaped marshmallow pop dipped in dark chocolate and coated with crushed peppermint candy

Churro Marshmallow Pop – Mickey-shaped marshmallow pop dipped in white chocolate and coated with cinnamon and sugar

A tradition since 1968, our infamous candy canes at Disneyland Resort are hand-crafted during the holiday season – from mixing the ingredients to hand-pulling, rolling, and twisting the candy. The result is colorful swirls of oversized sweetness – 18-inches long!

A very limited number of these impressive candy canes will be produced by our candy makers this season. They will be sold only at:

    • Candy Palace and Candy Kitchen at Disneyland park: Dec. 7, 9,15, 21, 23
    • Trolley Treats at Disney California Adventure park: Dec. 8, 14, 16, 22

For a chance to purchase one of the candy canes this year, a mobile waitlist system will be used, as quantities are very limited. Once the mobile waitlist is activated, you can add your name and phone number at the location to receive a text back with a time to return to the location for the opportunity to purchase your candy cane, subject to availability.

Main Street Confectionery Reopens Sept. 29 at Magic Kingdom Park

We have some sweet news! The Main Street Confectionery hosted by Mars Wrigley is reopening on Sept. 29 at Magic Kingdom Park, just in time to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort!

With new interactive opportunities to customize your confections and a fresh new look throughout, the Main Street Confectionery is your go-to spot for delicious treats. It’s also where you can see confectionery magic being made by hand.

When you step into this charming, turn-of-the-century sweet shop, one of the first new things you’ll see is the colorful candy wall, which includes 38 varieties of M&M’S and SKITTLES! If you’re in the mood for something savory and sweet, you can now personalize your popcorn experience with multiple combinations. Select from four popcorn flavors – caramel, rainbow fruit, buttery, cheddar – and then top it all off with a selection of M&M’S or SKITTLES candies or perhaps even with some chocolate drizzle for an extra sweet treat!

You can even get a front row spot at the candy kitchen area to watch cast members make and decorate your favorite goodies like the character-inspired candy apples and Mickey crisped rice cereal treats being made and decorated. There are more than 30 new items you won’t find anywhere else!

Some of my favorites are the new fudge varieties, like the Peanut Butter Fudge – featuring creamy peanut butter fudge topped with M&M’S Peanut Butter Candies and drizzled with chocolate. Yum!

Of course, this signature Magic Kingdom shop will offer limited-time treats for “The World’s Most Magical Celebration.” These four new sweets will be available starting on Oct. 1.

New tastey treats are common place at Disney World, but now the ideas are just getting cheesy… In a good way! You can now get a grilled cheese sandwiches made with doughnut buns at Disney Springs.

The item can currently be found on the menu at Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew, which opened in the Disney Springs dining and shopping district earlier this month. The shop, which primarily sells doughnuts and coffee, also has a section of the menu dedicated to sandwiches — and each can be served on a “griddled glazed doughnut” instead of a bun for just $1 extra.

“Thought Mom made you a pretty mean grilled cheese sammie growing up? Well, you ain’t seen nothing yet!” wrote Everglazed in a post showcasing the sandwich as you can see below:

Disney World fans, many of whom are very willing to voice their opinions on the park’s latest foods, had plenty to say. Many called the unusual combo “disgusting” or a “heart attack” waiting to happen.

Some Disney World lovers did seem excited about the strange item, which falls in line with the recent trend of fast food chains selling sandwiches and burgers with donut buns.

In addition to its grilled cheese, Everglazed currently serves breakfast sandwiches, a burger, and even a chicken sandwich with optional doughnut buns.

The doughnut shop also offers “hand-crafted flavored milks” and spiked coffees, as well as — oh, right — actual doughnuts that can be eaten sans-cheese or burger patty.
