  • Brand New Full-Length “Frozen 2” Trailer Released by Disney

Brand New Full-Length “Frozen 2” Trailer Released by Disney

Today, Disney dropped the first full trailer for “Frozen 2” and you’re not going to want to let it go!

In the dramatic, action-packed trailer for the highly-anticipated “Frozen 2,” Elsa takes center stage and is asked to both find out the truth about her past and use her powers for good.

The trailer, which premiered on “Good Morning America,” opens with Elsa falling into frozen waters after an ice bridge she makes crumbles in a wave. Take a look at the full trailer below:

“Elsa, the past is not what it seems,” a voice tells the beloved character. “You must find the truth.” The deep voice tells her to go North, into the unknown.

Everyone’s favorite snowman, Olaf, the lover of warm hugs, also makes an appearance in the new trailer — he is paddling through a river in a boat made out of ice with Anna in the back. The two appear to hit a rapid, and cling to their canoe for dear life.

As the gang sets off on an unspecified adventure, the trailer’s narrator says, “We have always feared Elsa’s powers were too much for this world.”

The original “Frozen” movie became a massive hit when it opened in 2013, earning over $1.3 billion at the worldwide box office, along with two Oscars. It’s still the highest-grossing animated film ever, as well as the 13th biggest movie of all time.

While the teaser trailer, which was released in early February, didn’t reveal much about the storyline, the trailer sheds a bit more light on the plot. However, a lot of questions are left unanswered. But come fall, fans of the Disney franchise will get their answers. “Frozen 2,” hits theaters Nov. 22.

Disney’s ‘Elsa’ Arrested in Illinois for Bringing Subzero Temperatures

The frozen weather in the Midwest has caused an Illinois police department to take drastic action. For the first time in forever, a Disney character — Elsa, the Queen of Arendell — was handcuffed and taken to jail. And police won’t let her go until the weather heats up.

“Due to the EXTREME COLD weather, all criminal activity and acts of stupidity and foolishness has been canceled … Even Elsa has been placed under arrest with NO BOND until further notice,” police officials said.

In a tongue-in-cheek post on Facebook, the McLean Police Department posted photographs of an officer “arresting” Elsa, complete with pink handcuffs as you can see in the post below.

Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker issued a disaster warning Tuesday ahead of the “potentially historic” double-digit subzero temperatures in the state.

  • Frozen 2 Director Hints Girlfriend For Elsa Is A Real Possibility

Frozen 2 Director Hints Girlfriend For Elsa Is A Real Possibility

Love is an open door, but the door has also been left open for the possibility of Elsa having a girlfriend in the upcoming Frozen sequel. Jennifer Lee, the director of Disney’s Frozen confirmed recently that there indeed are “tons of conversations” about Queen Elsa having a lesbian story arc in the film.

From the moment it was released in 2013, Frozen was a phenomenon. The film smashed records, becoming the highest grossing animated feature of all time and it also became the first Walt Disney Studios picture to win the Academy Award for best animated feature. But it was more than a critically acclaimed fairytale, as it was quickly praised for its perceived pro-LGBTQ themes. The lyrics of the Oscar-winning song “Let it Go” especially received as a coming-out anthem due to the songs lyrics.

“Couldn’t keep it in, heaven knows I’ve tried Don’t let them in, don’t let them see Be the good girl you always have to be Conceal, don’t feel, don’t let them know Well, now they know”

The excitement in the community turned into a movement and fans launched petitions as well as the Twitter hashtag #GiveElsaAGirlfriend, in an effort to push Disney for a female love interest.

Lee—who also wrote the original 2013 Disney smash hit—said the Frozen team are conscientious of what the fans want and she isn’t ruling it out. “I love everything people are saying [and] people are thinking about with our film―that it’s creating dialogue, that Elsa is this wonderful character that speaks to so many people,” she said in a report from the Huffington Post. “It means the world to us that we’re part of these conversations. Where we’re going with it, we have tons of conversations about it”, she continued.

While walking the Billboard Music Awards red carpet back in 2016, Singer and actress Idina Menzel, who sang the films oscar winning song “Let it Go”, gave a safe-yet-reassuring answer in regards to Elsa’s questionable sexuality. The actress said simply, “I think it’s great. Disney’s just gotta contend with that. I’ll let them figure that out.”

There’s yet to be any official word on whether or not creators will actually move forward with a female love interest, so whether a future girlfriend for Elsa makes it into the film remains to be seen. Disney usually doesn’t say very much when it comes to discussing LGBTQ themes within its movies, but knowing that creators are actually considering the possibility should give supporters some hope.

Frozen 2 is slated to hit theaters on November 27, 2019.

VIDEO: Disney sued by singer who claims Frozen hit ‘Let It Go’ RIPPED OFF his song

Chilean singer Jaime Ciero is suing everyone connected to “Let It Go,” alleging that the track copied his Spanish-language track “Volar.” Jaime Ciero claims in a new lawsuit that the smash hit from “Frozen” was inspired by his 2008 song “Volar” and wants royalties from Disney, Idina Menzel and Demi Lovato.

According to TMZ, Ciero said his single was “a huge international success reaching millions of listeners and landing on numerous charts of the most popular, top-performing songs.”

Jaime Ciero claims in a new lawsuit “Let It Go” was obviously inspired by his song, “Volar.”  Ciero recorded the song in 2008 and it was played globally.  Ciero calls the song “a huge international success reaching millions of listeners and landing on numerous charts of the most popular, top-performing songs.”

This is not the first time “Frozen,” the highest-grossing animated film of all time, has been sued. In 2014, A woman in Kuwait claimed that the story for Disney’s animated mega-hit “Frozen” was lifted from her book.  In the end the judge iced here case.

Listen to both (below).  Not so sure … even though “Volar” is recorded in Spanish, there are similarities though.  Maybe?  The question … are there enough to make a case?

Listen, and judge for yourself. Are there enough similarities to make a case?
