Mobile Order App Introduces New Enhanced Look at Disney Parks

Ordering food and beverages at Disney Parks has never been simpler since the mobile order app was introduced in 2017. Now Disney Parks has rolled out a new, enhanced look that makes the mobile ordering experience easier than ever.

The app allows guests to plan ahead, save time by not waiting in line, and make the most out of their visit to the Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort.

This update—available now in the Disneyland App for Disneyland Resort and coming soon to the My Disney Experience App for Walt Disney World Resort — features an easier navigation and improved design with fun, colorful icons and even more photos of the menu items. In addition, guests with certain allergies or dietary restrictions can better discover the options that may meet their needs at participating locations.

With more than 20 participating quick-service restaurants at each destination, you can easily place meal and snack orders from wherever you happen to be in the park. Once you arrive at the restaurant and tap “I’m here,” your order will be ready for pick up at a designated window within minutes – without ever waiting in line to order and pay!

The mobile order feature is just one of the many ways we continue to enhance the guest experience, including Disney MaxPass at Disneyland Resort, digital room keys at Walt Disney World Resort and so much more.

  • Space Mountain Remains Closed at Disneyland After Man Climbs Off Ride in Motion

Space Mountain Remains Closed at Disneyland After Man Climbs Off Ride in Motion

UPDATE 02/01/19: Space Mountain reopened Friday after an inspection and initial investigation of Tuesday’s incident by the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health.

    —— Original Story ——

Disneyland’s Space Mountain attraction remained closed Thursday following an incident two days earlier in which a man climbed off the roller coaster while it was in motion, officials said.

“He had to maneuver himself around the safety mechanism,” Anaheim police Sgt. Daron Wyatt said, referring to the safety lap bar in each of the ride’s cars.

Anaheim police responded to the incident and administered aid to the unidentified man, reportedly in his 20s, who was said to have walked on his own to a first aid station within the park and appeared to be uninjured.

The man reportedly has cognitive disabilities and wiggled out of the moving ride while the rollercoaster was making its slow climb up, before dropping down into its many high-speed twists and turns, the Register reported.

Disney employees stopped the ride as soon as the man was discovered to have been missing.

According to Disney, park officials immediately contacted the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health to inspect the ride following the incident. The ride has remained closed during the investigation.

Park officials have called the incident “extremely rare.”

  • Disney World Restaurant Worker Diagnosed With Hepatitis A

Disney World Restaurant Worker Diagnosed With Hepatitis A

Health officials in Florida say a worker at a Walt Disney World restaurant has been diagnosed with Hepatitis A, but no other colleagues or visitors have gotten sick.

Authorities said that the virus was confirmed last week in a food service worker at the Hoop-Dee-Doo musical revue at the resort’s Fort Wilderness Campground.

Disney World spokeswoman Erica Ettori said in an email the employee hasn’t worked at the restaurant since being diagnosed and won’t return until being cleared by the Department of Health.

The health department has been vaccinating co-workers this week and last week. The restaurant remains open and Ettori says it has been thoroughly cleaned and sanitized in an abundance of caution.

The virus can cause liver disease and is spread from contact with things contaminated by stool.

Disney’s ‘Elsa’ Arrested in Illinois for Bringing Subzero Temperatures

The frozen weather in the Midwest has caused an Illinois police department to take drastic action. For the first time in forever, a Disney character — Elsa, the Queen of Arendell — was handcuffed and taken to jail. And police won’t let her go until the weather heats up.

“Due to the EXTREME COLD weather, all criminal activity and acts of stupidity and foolishness has been canceled … Even Elsa has been placed under arrest with NO BOND until further notice,” police officials said.

In a tongue-in-cheek post on Facebook, the McLean Police Department posted photographs of an officer “arresting” Elsa, complete with pink handcuffs as you can see in the post below.

Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker issued a disaster warning Tuesday ahead of the “potentially historic” double-digit subzero temperatures in the state.

  • Keanu Reeves’ Mystery role in Toy Story 4 Reportedly Revealed

Keanu Reeves’ Mystery role in Toy Story 4 Reportedly Revealed

Late last year it was revealed that a new toy was coming to the toy box and that Keanu Reeves has a mystery role in the upcoming Toy Story 4. Now it appears that mystery role may have been revealed.

Co-star Tim Allen shared the news on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and though he was cryptic about it, he hinted that it’s a toy with an intense personality. That lead many fans to speculated that it could be a John Wick inspired toy and it turns out that those predictions weren’t far off.

Reeves is reportedly playing Duke Kaboom, who “hails from a place where discontinued toys are sent,” according to new details published by Observer. Porcelein shepherdess Bo Peep (Annie Potts), the one time girlfriend of sheriff cowboy doll Woody (Tom Hanks) before she fell victim to a yard sale, turns to Duke for help after her sheep have been taken from her.

“They really will surprise you with the toys they came up with,” Allen said. “Characters came back, new guys in it that are great. Keanu Reeves has got a great part.”

The role represents a big departure for Reeves. Despite a long and illustrious career — he made his breakthrough performance in River’s Edge in 1986 — Reeves has never had a voice role in an big-studio animated feature film.

Toy Story 4 hits theaters on June 21, 2019.
