“The Most Magical Place on Earth” finally reopened after being closed for nearly four months, but guests recieved a bit of a scare on opening day after a horse was startled during a parade down Main Street USA.
The incident happened during The Royal Princess Processional at Magic Kingdom when a child’s balloon got caught on the horse’s legs.
The incident was caught on camera by a guest at the Magic Kingdom. Take a look at the video below:
As you can see in the YouTube video, Merida’s horse was spooked by a balloon a child was holding and accidentally let go of, which then got wrapped up in the horse’s legs.
Merida was able to safely get off the horse and it was then walked off of backstage by cast members.
Disney world is finally back open, but with enhanced saftey measures and procedures. Of course face masks are required, but Disney has already put restrictions on what types of coverings are acceptable and neck gaiter and bandanas are not permitted.
Disney World updated the policy to explicitly state that neck gaiters and “open-chin triangle bandanas” are not acceptable face coverings. And as part of existing rules, costume masks are prohibited.
Guests ages 2 and up as well as cast members are required to wear a face covering when inside of Walt Disney World’s theme parks and Disney Springs property.
Mandatory face masks is just one of the health and safety measures Disney is implemented at its parks. Other measures include temperature checks, social distancing protocols, increased sanitization and reduced park capacity.
As of today, Walt Disney World will is already re-welcoming guests into Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. On July 15, EPCOT and Hollywood Studios will reopen its doors to the public.
This donut really takes the cake! Make a splash this Summer with a giant Minnie donut pool float covered in pink icing and topped with a red bow.
This fun float will definetly make you the life of the pool party. At 67″ x 57″ it’s big enough for you and maybe even two furry friends in the ears. We spotted it in the Emporium at Disney’s Magic Kingdom. It retails for $54.99.
If the big donut leaves you feeling like you’ve bit off a little more than you can chew, there are these cute little mini versions. At 16″ x 13″ they are the perfect size to hold your preferred poolside drink. They come together as a set and retail for $19.99. Which one will you bring home?

It’s time to light up your Summer with the new Sweet Summer collection ablaze with color at Disney World! We spotted all this new merchandise at Magic Kingdom’s Emporium.
I personally love this new Magic Band. It’s bright, tropical, and Mickey looks like he’s on vacation! My favorite land in Magic Kingdom is Adventureland and this version of Cinderella Castle reminds me so much of The Enchanted Tiki Room; where all the birds sing words and the flowers croon.
Look at all the glorious neon colors! These colors could not be any more perfect for a sizzling Summer at Disney World. The baseball cap features a green plastic visor and retails for $27.99. The yellow fanny-pack is $29.99
Disney is really bringing back the 80’s this Summer with this sun visor with a hot pink, plastic brim. It retails for $19.99. I think it would look totally tubular with with this women’s short-sleeve crewneck tee. It features Mickey and Minnie having lots of Summer fun, eating dole whips, popsicles, and floating on pink flamingos.
Let’s not leave the guys out this Summer. This button shirt features, what else but Disney snacks?! What’s Summer without a Dole Whip float and refreshing drinks served in coconuts with Mickey straws? I was tempted to buy this one and talk my boyfriend into wearing it.
If you’re not wearing Flip Flops are you even IN Florida?! Every Floridian owns at least 5 pairs of these. They feature the same fun pattern as the Mickey Pool Float Ears, and have a Mickey head make out of lemons on the straps. Perfect for a day by your resort pool. The shorts are a thicker fabric, almost like sweatpants. A pair of these definetly came home with me. They even have POCKETS!!
And here we have a sun-sational rain jacket for those afternoon showers. It has a fun assortment of theme park items on it, including Mickey waffles, Dole Whip float, a tea cup from the Mad Tea Party, a Mickey lollipop, and Cinderella Castle. Pro Tip: If you can wait out the rain, ride lines are usually much shorter when it stops!

Disney knows how to make everything a little sweeter, even tie dye and lemons. The newest addition to your Spirit Jersey collection should certainly be this Sweet Summer Neon Tie Dye masterpiece!
It might be sweltering hot in Florida right now, but this new Spirit Jersey could brighten up any day.
The bright colors of the tie dyed strips at the bottom of the Spirit Jersey are repeated in the Walt Disney World letters on the back. The dot above the ‘I’ is a Mickey head formed out of three lemon slices. Take a closer look below:
The front has the classic ‘D’ with the lemon Mickey head inside. Just looking at this Spirit Jersey makes me crave an ice cold lemonade! I can’t wait to add this Spirit Jersey to my collection.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios reopens on July 15 and in order to help maintain appropriate physical distancing, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance will once again be using the virtual queue system.
If you’ve joined the Resistance before, you will want to note a few changes to the process beginning July 15. Most importantly – as availability allows – guests will have an opportunity at 10 a.m., 1 p.m. or 4 p.m. to request to join the virtual queue. This means there is no need to arrive early to the park to check the virtual queue.
Whether it’s your first trip to Batuu or you have joined the fight against the First Order before, there are a few important details to know before you arrive:
First, make sure you have the My Disney Experience app. Once you enter the park, log in to your account at one of the distribution times (10 a.m., 1 p.m. or 4 p.m.).
Once you have logged in, select “Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance Virtual Queue” on the home screen. You will be able to view the current status and next steps for joining the virtual queue.
The app will indicate when there is no availability for a specific distribution time. Some guests may join backup groups.
As long as your My Disney Experience account is linked to park tickets for you and the others in your group, you can enroll everyone in the virtual queue at the same time. In order to give as many guests as possible the opportunity to join the Resistance, each guest can enter the virtual queue no more than once per day.
Make sure push notifications are turned on for My Disney Experience so you will be alerted if your group is called to return. You’ll have up to an hour from the time of the alert to go to the entrance of Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.
Please note that joining the virtual queue does not guarantee the ability to experience Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.
Spotted at Magic Kingdom’s Passholder Preview, these adorable new inflatable Mickey ears will have you floating through Summer with style. Lime green and covered with all kinds of fruit, like watermelon, cherries, lemon slices, and kiwi, these ears are actually inflatable!
As you can see, these ears go perfectly with the bright colors featured on the Sweet Summer merchandise this year. This colorful and fruity collection is available in the Emporium at Disney’s Magic Kingdom.
The headband is a terrycloth material on the inside, like a beach towel, and a royal blue leather-like material on the outside. If you plan on heading to Disney this Summer contact Enchanted Kingdom Vacations with Kimberly to help with all your planning needs.
As we previously reported, Cinderella’s Castle at Magic Kingdom in Disney World is currently in the process of receiving a royal makeover and now the work is nearly complete and Disney is sharing a first look at the new regal enhancements.
The treasured icon at the heart of Walt Disney World Resort is being made over with bold, shimmering and regal enhancements befitting The Most Magical Place on Earth.
Walt Disney Imagineering helped select the new royal color scheme to give Cinderella Castle its glistening new look. Take a look at the pictures below to see the magical enhancements up close:
Special elements, such as a sapphire dusting on the blue rooftops and gold trim, were added to make the iconic spires sparkle in the sun. You might see painters applying the final coats of paint and adding the finishing touches to if you’re planning to visit Magic Kingdom Park over the next several weeks.
Disney will reopen Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom to the public on July 11, and Epcot and Hollywood Studios on July 15
Jude Law is in talks to play Captain Hook in Disney’s live-action adaptation of its 1953 animated classic “Peter Pan.”
David Lowery is directing the pic from a screenplay he wrote with Toby Halbrooks, based on the J.M. Barrie novel. The film, which stars Ever Anderson as Wendy and Alexander Molony as Peter Pan, was among the shoots Disney paused on March 13 amid the coronavirus outbreak.
Disney’s 14th animated feature film and was an adaptation of J. M. Barrie’s story about a boy who never grew up. The three children of the Darling family receive a visit from Peter Pan, who takes them to Never Land, where an ongoing war between Peter’s gang of rag-tag runaways and the evil Pirate Captain Hook is taking place.
Disney has been on a roll of live-action adaptations of its classics. The studio’s already released new, blockbuster versions of Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, and Dumbo, in addition to releasing a hyperrealistic CGI version of The Lion King—which, like Beauty and Aladdin, grossed over $1 billion at the box office. The studio was set to release Mulan next, but the coronavirus has put those plans on hold, pushing Disney to delay the release from March to July, then to August 21.
Walt Disney World is preparing to reopen on Saturday and in addition to all of the enhanced saftey procedures they are implementing, they have also installed plexiglass dividers on their attractions.
“As we prepare for a phased reopening, we’ve made updates based on guidance from health authorities, such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and appropriate government agencies,” Disney said on it’s website.
One twitter user took to the internet to share what attractions look like with the new additions. Take a look at the post below:
Disney’s Florida theme parks have been closed since March 15 because of the coronavirus pandemic, but the company announced last month that the Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom would be open for business July 11; Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios reopen July 15.
