The force is strong with this holiday merch! “The Mandalorian” break out star, dubbed “Baby Yoda” by the internet, will soon have merchandise available and just in time for the holidays!
The character, named simply “The Child” in the new Disney+ series, made a surprise appearance toward the end of the first episode. “Star Wars” fans went wild for the adorable creature, calling it “Baby Yoda” due to its uncanny resemblance to the iconic character Yoda.
Clothing and accessories for “Baby Yoda” will soon be available on Amazon, Zazzle, Target, Kohl’s, Macy’s, Hot Topic and Box Lunch, as well as the Disney Store, ShopDisney and at the Disney Parks, CNBC reported. There are already two T-shirts available on Amazon as you can see in the picture below:
One retails for $22.99 and the other costs $25.99. CLICK HERE to see what’s already avaiable on Amazon.
“The Child” was absent from the marketing and initial merchandise launch for “The Mandalorian” because show runners Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni didn’t want to spoil the creature’s unexpected appearance, the report said.
Presales for toys and plush will also be available in the coming weeks.
Celebrating joyous holiday traditions from around the globe, this year’s festival is presented by AdventHealth and runs Nov. 29 through Dec. 30, 2019. It features a variety of yuletide decorations, flavors from around the World, and family-friendly activities.
There will be several characters ready to celebrate with you in their holiday best. Belle is my favorite Princess, and this year’s Festival you’ll find her strolling through France in her gorgeous red velvet and yellow brocade winter gown. Mickey and Festive are looking festive this year, and Chip and Dale will be arriving in adorable red and gold vests and jaunty hats to create some mischief.
Holiday Kitchens are returning this year, where you can sample holiday dishes from around the World.
The Yukon Holiday Kitchen will feature a Canadian Wild Rice and Ham Soup, served with a Pretzel Roll. The Bavarian Holiday Kitchen will have a Prok Schnitzel with mushroom sauce and Spatzle. I tasted this one and I found the sauce to be very delicious and earthy, with every bite full of mushrooms. The pasta was also cooked to the perfect al dente consistency.
If it’s an adult beverage you’re looking for, there’s a Hot Spiced Wine called Gluhwein from the Bavaria Holiday Kitchen that’s sure to warm you up. Holiday Sweets & Treat will feature a Chocolate Peppermint Shake made with Twinings Peppermint Cheer Tea and whipped cream vodka. The Refreshment Port will be serving up Eggnog with spiced rum. They were all so delicious and put me in the Christmas mood, but my favorite was the Peppermint Shake. It had crushed peppermint of top of the whipped cream that added just the right amount of minty-ness. (The Peppermint Shake and Eggnog also come in non-alcoholic versions)
Living with the Land is getting “spruced” up this year with a brand new Holiday overlay. Each night of the Festival, starting at sundown, the ride will be transformed into Living with the Land: Merry & Bright Nights. The greenhouses are filled with twinkling lights and cute holiday displays showing how you can use nature to decorate inside, or bring a little holiday magic outside. Make sure you check the Times Guide for operating hours.
In Mexico the Mariachi band will be wearing a holiday version of their tradional outfits and sprinkling some holiday tunes into their performance. Check the Times Guide for show times.
The Cookie Stroll is back and even better this year! If you want to “snack your way around the world,” this is the challenge for you. Buy one of each of 5 different cookies in World Showcase and you’ll be rewarded with a Mickey shaped sugar cookie!
And finally, all the fun merchandise to commemorate your trip to the 2019 Epcot International Festival of the Holidays! This year Chip & Dale, those rambunctious brother, are the mascots for the festival. You will find them on Spirit Jerseys, coffee cups, ornaments, and an exclusive Passholder t-shirt. There are also several open and limited edition pins featuring Mickey and friends to add your lanyard.
Holidays at Daisey are always magical, and this year’s Festival of the Holidays is no exception. Expect to see more ways to celebrate than ever before. So, make sure you put a trip to Epcot on your Wish List this year!

As part of its commitment of more than $1 million in cash and in-kind support to help Hurricane Dorian relief and recovery efforts in The Bahamas, Disney announced it has teamed up with three leading disaster relief and recovery organizations – the American Red Cross, the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) and All Hands and Hearts.
“We know the road to recovery is long and difficult for many people in The Bahamas, and we remain committed to helping them put their lives back together,” said Jeff Vahle, president of Disney Cruise Line. “From providing food and supplies, to supporting children and rebuilding schools, the collective efforts of these agencies should bring much-needed relief to our friends and neighbors in the islands.”
The American Red Cross continues to provide critical aid to those recovering in The Bahamas. Disney has provided $250,000 to support the organization’s on-the-ground relief efforts, including the delivery of food staples and basic construction materials. Disney has also encouraged its employees to contribute financially to the American Red Cross to help further support these immediate needs. Eligible employees’ donations were matched through the Disney Employee Matching Gifts program, dollar for dollar.
Hurricane Dorian forced thousands of residents to evacuate the island. One of the biggest priorities has been for children to return to school. Disney Cruise Line has a long history of supporting education efforts throughout The Bahamas and recognizes how important schooling is for children. Disney gave $250,000 in support of UNICEF’s efforts to help provide lifesaving supplies and psychosocial support for affected children and adolescents. In partnership with The Bahamas Ministry of Education, UNICEF is working to register approximately 10,000 displaced students in schools. Registered students will receive medical screenings, uniform and lunch assistance, referrals for counseling services and free bus transportation for social, sporting and extra-curricular activities.
Over the last few months, Disney Cruise Line Cast and Crew Members have worked diligently to provide immediate short-term relief to those impacted. Disney Cruise Line Cast Members assembled more than 1,500 Clean the World personal hygiene kits. Clean the World is a global health organization committed to providing sustainable resources, programming and education focused on water, sanitation and hygiene for those impacted by natural disasters, poverty and homelessness. The Disney Dream delivered these kits to Nassau where they were distributed to shelters for hurricane evacuees from Abaco and Grand Bahama.
Disney also donated food, water, medical supplies, cleaning supplies, generators and construction materials, which the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy delivered to points in Nassau and the Abaco Islands – as well as supplies that others have helped deliver to Grand Bahama. Additionally, Disney Cruise Line is supporting its Bahamian-based Crew Members who live in impacted areas. So far, Disney has provided an additional $500,000 in supplies and direct aid to affected employees.
Additionally, as the community focuses on the long term plans for rebuilding, Disney has provided $500,000 to All Hands and Hearts to support the rebuilding of community schools in Abaco, home to many Bahamian-based Disney Cruise Line Crew Members. All Hands and Hearts is a volunteer-powered disaster relief organization that addresses the immediate and long-term needs of communities impacted by natural disasters.
The Force is strong today throughout Orlando International Airport with the debut of new décor that helps travelers feel as if they’ve stepped into Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, the new 14-acre land inside Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.
Disney is the first organization the airport has invited to create artistic renderings that wrap shuttle stations within the airline terminals. It’s a creative first for Central Florida’s major transport hub that welcomes nearly 50 million passengers each year.
“We are constantly evolving the airport experience to make it more service oriented, passenger friendly and fun,” said Raymond Anderson, senior director of concessions and properties for the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority. “This new installation provides a preview of what vacationers and business travelers alike can expect at Walt Disney World. It’s also the most recent in a long line of collaborations between the airport and Disney over the decades.”
“Our Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge art installation reflects how very special the Walt Disney World Resort and Orlando International Airport relationship is,” said Claire Bilby, senior vice president of sales, services and events for Walt Disney World. “We’ve had a string of fruitful projects with the airport, like having two supersonic jets land simultaneously to celebrate the opening of Epcot in 1982, creating the groundbreaking Disney’s Magical Express service in 2005, today’s first-of-its kind art installation and so much more. The airport is Central Florida’s ‘welcome’ to visitors from around the globe. We’re honored to put our Disney magic to work in making that welcome exciting and memorable.”
As travelers arrive in Orlando and prepare to board shuttles for the airport’s Main Terminal, they will see life-size depictions of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge that look as if visitors could step right into the new land.
One scene creates a dimensional landscape that feels as if visitors are standing inside Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, where travelers can see the iconic Millennium Falcon and other landmarks from the new land. In another scene, it appears as if First Order Stormtroopers are waiting to step off the shuttle as the train arrives in the station.
Combined, these artistic representations of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge stretch longer than eight full-size buses. They will remain in place into 2020.
More new fun and excitement from a galaxy far, far away can be had elsewhere inside Orlando International Airport. Also debuting today at the Magic of Disney store in the Main Terminal West Hall – available to all airport guests, with or without boarding passes – is a new photo location featuring droids from the Star Wars galaxy. When the airport’s second Magic of Disney store, in the Main Terminal East Hall, reopens Nov. 22, 2019, it will feature a 36-foot-long video screen on an exterior wall showing scenes from Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. This will be another ideal photo spot, giving visitors an enticing glimpse of the new land.
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge invites guests to live their own Star Wars adventures at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. They can take control of the Millennium Falcon, build a droid or a lightsaber, sample galactic food and drinks and discover much more. A groundbreaking new attraction, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, opens Dec. 5, 2019, inside the land, bringing guests into a climactic battle between the Resistance and the First Order in an experience of cinematic scale.

Disney released the official soundtrack to Frozen 2 on Friday, just one week before the long-anticipated film hits theaters.
The soundtrack features all eight original songs from the sequel. Frozen 2 reunites the vocal team of Tony winner Idina Menzel (Wicked) as Elsa, Tony nominees Josh Gad (The Book of Mormon) as Olaf and Jonathan Groff (Hamilton) as Kristoff, as well as Kristen Bell as Anna. Among those new to the franchise are Sterling K. Brown as Mattias and Evan Rachel Wood as Iduna.
Featured on the soundtrack are the film’s cast, Panic! at the Disco, Kacey Musgraves, and Weezer. Listen to the album on Spotify below.
After the overwhelming success of the first film’s soundtrack (which is No. 4 on the Billboard 200 albums of the decade chart), Oscar-winning songwriters Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez have written seven new songs for the sequel, including the single “Into the Unknown.”
It may be too hot in Florida to rock that Spirit Jersey, but I think backpacks are the perfect park accessory. So, if you’re looking for a cute way to add some Holiday Cheer to any outfit then you’ll be glad to know that Holiday Loungefly backpacks are here!
