Hayden Christensen, who played the Jedi who became Darth Vader in the Star Wars prequel trilogy, recently brought his daughter Briar Rose to Disneyland in Anaheim, California to celebrate her fifth birthday.
The family has a special connection to Disney: Briar Rose is named after the adopted name of Princess Aurora in Disney’s Sleeping Beauty.
“There’s a Disney reference there, I suppose,” Hayden said in an interview on Hallmark Channel’s Home and Family a few years ago, according to Glamour. “The original Sleeping Beauty is called Briar Rose. Rachel—we both love Disney—but Rachel especially was very keen on the name.”
Over the past few months, there have been rumors that the actor will reprise his role of Anakin, specifically Anakin’s Force Ghost, in the upcoming movie Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, the third and final part of the current third trilogy starring main stars Daisy Ridley and Adam Driver, which is also the conclusion of all three trilogies. Walt Disney Studios and Lucasfilm have not commented on the rumors.
We’re excited to announce that starting December 20th ‘Star Tours – The Adventures Continue’ is getting another update to include scenes fromThe Rise of Skywalker!
Fans of the saga will recognize the ocean moon Kef Bir, which we got glimpses of in the trailers for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. It seems that this is where parts of the Death Star fell after it’s destruction, and where a major showdown between Rey and Kylo Ren will take place.
Disney has partnered with Lucasfilm and Industrial Light & Magic to update the attraction with new and exciting destinations in the past. The last update for this ride was November 2017, when the mineral planet Crait and the Resistance outpost on Batuu were added. Passengers who board the Starspeeder 1000 never know where in the galaxy their pilot C-3PO will take them, and the addition of new scenes will add to the already 384 ride combinations!
This update will include ‘Star Tours – The Adventures Continue’ at Disneyland® Resort, Walt Disney World® Resort, Disneyland Paris and Tokyo Disney Resort. Starspeeders will be heading to Kef Bir, and possibly other secret locations, soon! Which Star Wars characters are you excited to see along the way?

The official trailer for “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” debuted during halftime of ESPN’s Monday night NFL match up between the New England Patriots and the New York Jets.
The two-minute-long trailer took viewers through the many galaxies of the Star Wars universe while focusing on the battle between the light and dark sides of the Force represented in Daisy Ridley’s Rey and Adam Driver’s Kylo Ren.
Take a look below at the trailer below:
The new clip focuses on the looming showdown between the Resistance, personified by the Jedi warrior Rey (Daisy Ridley), and the First Order, led by Kylo Ren (Adam Driver). As in the earlier trailer, Lando Calrissian (Billy Dee Williams) is seen riding alongside Chewbacca (Joonas Suotamo), and another returning character, the villainous Palpatine (Ian McDiarmid), is heard only in voice-over.
The studio has kept the ninth and concluding chapter of the so-called “Skywalker saga” largely under wraps, putting out only an initial trailer in April and then a “Special Look” promo in August that was long on footage previously seen in earlier films.

This is the airline you are looking for! Virgin Atlantic has given one of its Boeing 747 aircraft a major Star Wars themed makeover and it is out of this galaxy!
The Millennium Falcom themed 747 will now transport you from London Gatwick Airport to Orlando, Florida, where you’ll be able to experience Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, at Walt Disney World Resort.
The aircraft, which will be known as “The Falcon” – showcases the iconic Millennium Falcom – the famous spaceship once owned by Han Solo. It forms part of Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Holidays’ celebrations of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, which opened in Orlando in August.
It’s part of a promotion that Virgin Holidays is doing in partnership with Walt Disney World. Virgin says the decal is 144 feet long from end to end and took three weeks to print.
“It was a very exciting brief to be able to redesign our aircraft livery to represent something as iconic as the Millennium Falcon and it’s not something that you get to do every day,” Virgin Atlantic senior engineer Dave Napper said in a news release. “We have many Star Wars fans within the company who jumped at the chance to get involved in some way, and we cannot wait to see ‘The Falcon’ take flight.”
The new plane wrap also comes as Disney World ramps up promotion for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, which opened at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on August 29.
If your looking to board your flight after your trip to Disneyland or Disney World then this is NOT the souvenir you’re looking for. The Transportation Security Administration has banned the Star Wars-themed Coke bottles from flights because it looks like an explosive.
The bottles are one of the many exclusive items sold at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Even though they are just a bottle to hold a refreshing soda, they still resemble the grenade-like explosive seen in the Star Wars movies — specifically in Return of the Jedi when Princess Leia, disguised as the Ubese hunter Boushh, threatens to blow up Jabba the Hutt’s barge with one.
In response to a question, the TSA indicated on Twitter that Star Wars-themed Coke bottles are banned from checked and carry-on luggage, saying, “Replica and inert explosives aren’t allowed in either carry-on or checked bags,” as you can see in the post below:
Thanks for asking! Replica and inert explosives aren't allowed in either carry-on or checked bags.
Fans became enamored with these plastic bottles even before the California iteration of Galaxy’s Edge opened in May. Many have collected the bottles and brought them home from the park to display on shelves or, in some cases, turn into Christmas tree ornaments.
At $5.49, the bottles are one of the cheapest souvenirs available at Galaxy’s Edge — and popular: Disney has limited guests to three bottles per transaction to prevent hoarding. But with the TSA’s new policy, that may no longer be a problem. Disney PR declined to comment on the TSA decision; Cola-Cola and TSA could not be reached for comment.
Now this is the footage you have been waiting for! At the D23 expo, Disney showcased some new footage from “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” and it teases what that end on the Star Wars Skywalker saga will look like.
The footage includes a fleet of dozens of Star Destroyers in the atmosphere of a planet. Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) appear in a later scene, fighting on a downed ship in the middle of the ocean as waves crashed around them. The biggest crowd-pleasing shot comes at the end of the teaser, with Rey wearing a dark hood, sporting a double lightsaber. The footage hasn’t been released online.
Take a look at the out of this galaxy footage below:
Director J.J. Abrams returns to helm the final chapter in the Skywalker saga and returning cast members include Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Kelly Marie Tran, Joonas Suotamo, and Billie Lourd.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will also see the debut of Naomi Ackie and Richard E. Grant. Franchise veterans Mark Hamill and Anthony Daniels will reprise their roles of Luke Skywalker and C-3PO, respectively, with the new film also seeing the return of Billy Dee Williams as Lando Calrissian for the first time since 1983’s “Star Wars: Return of the Jedi”.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker hits theaters on Dec. 20, 2019.
